Lyrics:
Beautiful grassland, my home-Dedema
Beautiful grassland, my home; The wind blows green grass and flowers everywhere.
Butterflies fly and birds sing; A bend of clear water reflects the sunset glow.
Horses are like colorful clouds; Cattle and sheep are like pearls.
Ah, the shepherdess sings loudly; Happy songs are all over the world.
The shepherd girl sings loudly; Happy songs are all over the world.
Beautiful grassland, my home; Water and grass are beautiful. I love her.
Grassland is like a green ocean; Felt bags are like Bai Lianhua.
The herdsmen painted a happy scene; Wan Li is picturesque in spring.
Ah, the shepherdess sings loudly; Happy songs are all over the world.
The shepherd girl sings loudly; Happy songs are all over the world.

Creation background
1At the beginning of 978, Ma, a senior majoring in vocal music in Shanghai Conservatory of Music, found Alatenggele and told him that he was from Jining District, Inner Mongolia, hoping to sing some songs with national characteristics, so Alatenggele gave it to her to sing on campus. Later, when preparing a party in Inner Mongolia to perform for the 30th anniversary of the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), Alaten Ole gave this song to Dedema, a soloist of Inner Mongolia Song and Dance Troupe.
After Dedema sang a song, an overseas Chinese went backstage to find her and suggested that the lyrics of the song should be changed to pure lyrics praising hometown and nature. After Dedema returned to Inner Mongolia, he told Huohua this opinion, and Huohua revised the lyrics and deleted those slogans with the characteristics of the times.
