Creation background
1979, director Li Xing took Zhong Zhentao and Feng-Chiao Lin to Sanyi, a small town famous for woodcarving, to shoot a story about a small town. He wanted to give the movie a theme song, so he asked Weng Qingxi to be responsible for the soundtrack of the theme song, and the lyricist Zhuang Nu wrote the lyrics.
