Location of Bali Eagle Square

Bali Eagle Square is located in Uluwatu, the highest point in southern Bali, where the world's tallest bronze statue of an eagle was to be constructed, with Bali's supreme deity, the God of Destruction, riding on the back of the eagle, but the project was put on hold due to the ouster of Suharto at the time. But the project was shelved after Suharto's fall from power at the time.

The real name of the Eagle Square is Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Wisnu Kencana Carving Park, a cultural park located in Uluwatu, the highest point in southern Bali, Wisnu Kencana (Vishnu in Sanskrit), is the protector of the Indian trinity, Garuda means "divine eagle". Wisnu Kencana (Vishnu in Sanskrit), the protector of the Hindu trinity, and Garuda, meaning divine eagle, are his mounts. There is also a Balinese traditional dance program in the square for tourists. The Balinese classical dance is elegant and colorful, among which the lion and sword dance is the most representative.
