Guangxi Normal College
Established in October 1953, formerly known as Guangxi Secondary School Teachers' Training College, with its seat at General Bridge, Guilin.
In December 1953, the name was changed to Guangxi Teachers' Training College.
In August 1954, with the Guangxi Normal College (now Guangxi Normal University) moved to Guilin Wangcheng.
In March 1955, it was moved from Guilin City to Nanning City near Xiaoma Village on Taoyuan Road (now in the courtyard of Guangxi Institute of Arts) to build a separate school.
In 1960, it was incorporated into the Guangxi Institute of Nationalities, and the original site was given to the Guangxi Institute of Arts.
In 1961, Guangxi Teachers Training College was restored.

In September 1963, Guangxi Teachers College of Further Education was separated from Guangxi Institute for Nationalities, and received the personnel and property of the discontinued Guangxi Teacher Training College, and was rebuilt at the original site of the school (now the site of the school on Mingxiu Road).
In 1967, the name was changed to Guangxi Institute of Education.
On December 28, 1978, Guangxi Normal College was established on the basis of the Teacher Training Department of Guangxi Institute of Education.
On February 1, 1979, it was renamed Nanning Teachers College.
On May 22, 1985, Nanning Normal College was renamed Guangxi Normal College.
On December 30, 2002, with the approval of the people of Guangxi Autonomous Region ***, the former Guangxi Nanning Ethnic Normal School, founded in 1905, was merged into Guangxi Normal College.
In 2010, the school built a new campus in Wuhu Avenue, Xianhou Development Zone, Nanning.
In 2011, the school added 11 first-level master's degree authorization points in Sociology, Marxist Theory, Education, Chinese Language and Literature, Foreign Language and Literature, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geography, Computer Science and Technology, Public **** Management, and Soft Engineering***.?
In 2013, the university was approved as a project to build new doctoral degree-granting units in Guangxi.?
