I photographed a lot of parks in Lanzhou and posted the parks' pictures on the major travel platforms. I found that Jincheng Park (formerly known as Xigu Park) in Lanzhou has the most intensive online reviews and the best reputation in the western region. The pictures and words of Jincheng Park got the highest rating and popularity, basically praise and pride of the locals.
I think Golden City Park got so many warm and positive reviews for understandable reasons. In comparison, Jincheng Park has a lot going for it. Although there are many parks on both sides of the Yellow River in Lanzhou, they are all relatively small. Although the scenery is beautiful, there are few programs for the public to play.
The first phase of Jincheng Park covers an area of 150 mu (more than 100,000 square meters). The park has a large artificial lake, as well as colorful electronic musical fountains, museums, cultural centers, children's amusement parks, theaters, garden buildings, flower beds, ecological forests, and stadiums. And the park is free and open to all kinds of resource advantages. Other Lanzhou parks simply can not compare.
Speaking of Jincheng Park, first of all, I would like to talk about the Xigu District of Lanzhou. Xigu District is the core industrial area of Gansu Province and Lanzhou City, is also the largest petrochemical base in western China, the economic strength is very strong. The urban planning and infrastructure construction in the main urban area of Xigu District is very forward-looking, and many of the roads and landscape layouts are even prettier than the main roads in Chengguan District of Lanzhou City.
In fact, many tourists come to Lanzhou and are not aware of the existence of the Xigu District in Lanzhou. As a matter of fact, it was historically an important location for the western gate of Lanzhou. Han Wudi two years (121 years ago), General Li Xi in this building "Golden City", from then on to become the town of Lanzhou's historical city. Ancient books record: Western Han Dynasty (81 BC) Emperor Zhao Di settled in Jincheng County, was transferred to Jincheng County; Jin Jianxing two years (314 AD), Jincheng County from Yuanchuan moved to Jincheng County, still belongs to Jincheng County. The origin of the name of Geumseong Park is now named after it.
Gumseong Park's predecessor, Xigu Park, was created in the 1980s. Later, Jincheng Park underwent a large-scale renovation project costing more than 90 million yuan.It was completed and reopened on October 1, 2014, giving Jincheng Park a new look.
Currently, Jincheng Park is still in the second phase of the project. The second phase of the project is essentially complete with the stone apron walkway across South Mountain Road. According to the online Jincheng Park Phase II plan, the second phase of the planning area of 47.23 hectares (472,300 square meters), with an estimated total investment of 1.873 billion yuan. The whole planning scale is quite huge, which can be called the largest theme park in Lanzhou.
The scale of the first phase of the park, which is currently completed, is already very large. After entering the park gate, you can see the central axis of General Li Xi Square, Jincheng Tower, West Qin Palace and other iconic antique buildings. The Jincheng Tower is currently listed as the Jincheng Culture Museum and the West Qin Tower is listed as the Xianbei Culture Museum.
The park has a rare museum of Xianbei culture.
In December 2000, the Xianbei Culture Museum in Jincheng Park, west of Qin Tower, was opened to the public free of charge for all visitors. The entrance to the museum is on the second floor, but free bags are required and backpacks cannot be brought into the museum. Xianbei Culture Museum exhibition hall is huge, open space *** four floors, building area of 4500 square meters.
The Xianbei are a northern ethnic group that left a strong color in ancient Chinese history. It originated in Heilongjiang and finally grew from the north to the central plains. It established many state regimes in the north and west of China and had a profound influence on the history of China and the situation in the Hexi Corridor. Historically, the Xianbei Qi Guo Fu people established the Western Qin regime in Gannan, and later the Northern Wei Dynasty established by the Tuoba Xianbei people finally completed the unification of northern China.
China's research literature on the Xianbei people has been less, the Xianbei people's historical literature is even less, and many are contradictory and inconsistent. There are not many Xianbei-themed museums in China, so I was surprised to see a free museum themed on Xianbei culture in Jincheng Park in Lanzhou, because it's really not easy to build a museum with this theme.
Qin Xigong Xianbei Culture Museum has a number of thematic exhibition halls, including Jincheng Spring and Autumn, Jincheng Xu Renjie exhibition hall, the origin of the Xianbei race and the establishment of the regime of the exhibition hall, the West Qin history and culture exhibition hall, the exhibition hall of the Xianbei culture experience center. The main purpose is to explain the contents of history books and writings according to the regimes and historical figures, and to use a large amount of materials to show the West Qin regime related to the historical and cultural development of the Hexi Corridor such as Xigu. But it is really tiring for ordinary people to understand this period of history because the textbooks of ancient Chinese history are very concise about these contents, and ordinary people really lack the knowledge base.
Jincheng Park is the richest free theme park in Lanzhou.
In Jincheng Park, in addition to the plazas and large museum buildings along the central axis, the space on either side of the park is enormous. On the left is a huge children's amusement park, and on the right is an artificial lake, courtyard, theater and gymnasium. The entire park can't be strolled through in two hours.
Order a cup of green tea at the Waterfront Opera House and you'll hear a traditional local opera performance. Dancers, chess players and card players can be seen in the nearby pavilions and promenades. The nearby wigwam gardens and gardens are beautiful, such is the profound charm of Xigu.
There are several well-planned and functional play areas in the park's children's playground. Complete with electrical equipment, sports equipment and electronic rides, it looks like a carnival paradise. There are a lot of children who come here to play because the charges are very low.
It is perfectly reasonable that such a Lanzhou Jincheng Park can be praised by a large number of tourists and citizens. It also makes me think that this is the park with the best reputation in western Lanzhou. In the future, when I come to Lanzhou, I really want to live in the vicinity of Jincheng Park, which has been "planted grass".
