The upper and lower couplets depict 2 different scenarios, which are different but connected at the beginning and the end, all in one. The first couplet describes the vitality brought by the spring rain: the spring rain moistens the earth of Jiangnan, in this peach blossom season, the willow is also quietly showing her slim figure. Willow, is looking forward to the autumn night in Jiangnan, next to the twenty-four bridges, willow is taking advantage of the moonlight, dancing with the melodious piping sound.
