"When I am old, I would rather be strong, than lose my heart; when I am poor, I would not lose my ambition." These two sentences are Wang Bo inscribed words, just twenty words, will be his proud bones, positive in times of crisis, not fall ambition of the heart of the depiction of the extremely in place. Where later generations of unrecognized talent often use these two sentences as inspirational quotes, it can be seen that the heart of the high and pure. "The discretionary greed spring and feel refreshing, in the dry rut and still happy. Although the North Sea is on credit, the rock can be connected. These words are a further interpretation of the above sentence, which can also be said to be a commentary. He quoted allusions to show that he does not lose his will because of disappointment, and that he rises up in the face of adversity to fulfill his lofty aspirations. Judging from the sentence "The east is gone, but the west is not late", it is even more clear that he does not lose his will because of the temporary situation. It is even more clear that he is not disappointed by the temporary disappointment, but to lie down and taste the courage, in order to rise again in the future. From the point of view of his anger towards Meng Chang and Ruan Ji, Wang Bo was really reluctant to go back to Chang'an, and he always thought of the good intention of showing his ambition.

At the end of the closing, Wang Bo was a little self-congratulatory, because the actual name of his work is "Autumn Tengfu Tengwang Pavilion Farewell Preface", that is, the introduction at that time. Tang Emperor Gaozong Shangyuan three years (676), the poet went to visit his father in JiaoTong, passing through HongZhou (present-day NanChang, Jiangxi Province), participate in Yan DuDu Banquet, namely, "TengWangGe preface", preface at the end of the poem attached to the first condensation, implicit poem, summarizes the preface of the content. The first sentence opens the door, with a simple and old style, pointing out the situation of Tengwang Pavilion. Tengwang Pavilion was built when Li Yuanying, the son of Tang Emperor Li Yuan, was governor of Hongzhou. The first sentence is written in space, the second sentence is written in time, the first sentence is full of excitement, the second sentence is out of interest, the two contrast. The poet utilizes the method of "standing and sweeping" to make the reader naturally feel the impermanence of prosperity and decline. The first two lines of the poem are the same as the second one, and the second one is the same as the third one.

The third and fourth lines follow the second line, and are even more dramatic. These two sentences not only write out the loneliness of Tengwang Pavilion, but also the building flew up to the clouds of Nanpu, wrote out the Tengwang Pavilion of the high, the pearl curtains involved in the rain of the western mountains, wrote out the Tengwang Pavilion of the far, the scene is blended, sent feelings deep.

To this point, the poet's intention has been all included, but the method of expression, or more hidden and did not wake up to write through, so in the first four lines with "islet", "dance", "rain". After the three more sedate rhyme, immediately turn to "yo", "autumn", "flow" three long and soft rhyme, the use of chapters and the meaning of the match, in terms of time, special emphasis, and play, with the first half of the first song, but the expression is still relatively hidden and not written thoroughly. It is a change from the first half of the poem, which emphasizes space. The two words "idle clouds" are intentionally or unintentionally connected with "Nanpu clouds" above, and the two words "pool shadow" intentionally avoid the word "river". The word "pool shadow" deliberately avoids the word "river" and deepens the word "river" into "pool". Clouds in the sky, the pool in the ground, a pitch and a tilt, or in the writing space, but then use "day long" three words, immediately turn the space into time, point out the long time, not a day or two days, but years and years, very naturally born out of the scenery to change the seasons, the constellations to shift the orientation of the feelings, but also naturally recalled the building of the pavilion of the people! And now is the place. Here, a "few" and a "why", successive questions, expressing a compact mood. In the end, it shifts from time to space, pointing out that things will change, stars will move, and the emperor will die, while the Yangtze River outside the threshold flows eternally eastward without end. The word "threshold" and the word "river" respond to the first line's high pavilion facing the river, and the spirit is complete.

This poem has only fifty-six words, of which those belonging to space are "pavilion", "river", "building", "curtain", "cloud", "rain", "mountain", "pool", and "shadow"; those belonging to time are "day", "change of things", "star", "autumn", and "where are you now", which are blended together without any feeling of "stacking up the beds and shelves". The main reason is that they all surround a center - Tengwang Pavilion, and each of them play their role of the stars.

Tang poems use more real words (i.e. nouns), which is a clear difference from Song poems, which prefer to use more imaginary words (especially transitions). For example, in the third and fourth lines, in addition to the words "fly" and "roll" are verbs, the other twelve words are real words, but the two imaginary words will drive the twelve real words together to bring to life, the Tang's good use of real words, real but not real, can be seen here.

In addition, the poem ends with a couplet, very distinctive. Generally speaking, the couplet is used in the middle of the paragraph, to play the role of arrangement. Here, it is used to end the poem, and it is not juxtaposed like two doors (the term is called fan-pair), but rather, it is open and closed, adopting the "side posture", so that readers can only feel that it flows, but not that it is a pair, which shows Wang Bo's outstanding talent.
