The first batch of post-90s is already old.
The 90s born in 1990 are already close to thirty years old; the 90s born in 1999, many of them have also been on the sophomore or even junior.
The post-90s, especially those before 1995, are not so young anymore in terms of age.
The Post-90s, once discussed as children, have bid farewell to their youthful age and become an important force in the social flood.
I was born in 1993, graduated from graduate school in 2018, just worked for a year, in the northern drift, life is difficult to talk about, spiritual confusion is inevitable.
Recently, or for a long time, I am full of confusion and interest in the growth trajectory of our post-90s, the era we are attached to, in addition to interest, but also includes endless feelings and nostalgia. Nostalgia for our youthful past, nostalgia for the once youthful and middle-aged.
In my opinion, our generation is so complex and rich, limited to the times, and beyond the times.
We are lonely, disciplined and disliked by our times.
Yang Qingxiang, a young literary critic, once wrote a book, "Post-80s, what to do?
Have we, the Post-90s, ever evaluated or self-reflected on us as a whole, do we have a sense of collectivity, can we be framed as a whole?
What about the post-90s?
I decided to write a series of such essays, or ravings, recalling the bits and pieces of our generation's childhood and teenage years, and conveying a generation's ****same experience with my experience and that of the post-90s around me.
02 The complexity of the environment of the times
When you think about it, we, the post-90s, are really super complex.
Someone in Knowledge said that the 90s are the generation that was killed by the 60.70.80s. Because the fathers and mothers, the predecessors left us a mess, high prices, class solidification ......, put up with the square dance of the last two generations, but can not afford to buy a house, can not afford to get married.
90 after the growth of the era background is also too complex, the 90s, it is the period of China's great fracture, the market economy is soaring, bringing the transformation of society, 90 after the fathers and mothers, is the tide of this era. Their destiny tumbled in the big time, many people realized the economic turnaround, from farmers to entrepreneurs in one leap, and some people missed or gave up the opportunity, still in the rural areas of farming, working.
The struggles and ups and downs of these post-60s/70s people have laid the groundwork for the beginning and the end of the lives of the post-90s. They have not only changed their own destiny, but also brought sunshine or shadow to their next generation.
Although children who drink milk and corn porridge grow up the same, they grow up in different environments after all.
03 Diversity of family environment
Post-90s grew up in the blowout period of China's economic takeoff, and the diverse and even polarized fates of their parents also determined that our childhood life is the most diverse, and it is difficult to realize the unity of the childhood of all classes.
The Post-80s are a bit more unified than the Post-90s in this regard. They grew up at a time when social transformation had not yet taken hold, and the disparity in the economic levels of their families was much smaller than that of the Post-90s, meaning that they lived similar childhoods.
Post-90s, on the other hand, the gap is huge. You can hardly imagine that in 2000, children in poor rural areas played the same games as those in Shanghai's CBD, and Shanghai kids might be playing video games, while poorer kids were playing jumping jacks and marbles.
The difference in family circumstances as a child is so great that it is the same when you grow up. Moreover, the accumulation of the childhood has gradually created a gap that is difficult to bridge.
Now after 90, some people have become billionaires, become a broken professor, some are still like children, playing games, living in the ivory tower. Our era, has not yet begun, or is it already over?
04 The Great Post 90's
The Post 90's are the last generation to take a wheat holiday, pay public food, and grow up in the midst of national criticism.
We live in a time of transition, we are epochal, and therefore staggering, unbalanced and contradictory.
When we first entered adolescence, we were criticized by the post-70s and even the post-80s. They said we were rebellious, non-mainstream, disobedient and uneducated.
In fact, we are the most remarkable and heartbreaking. Because we are the most lonely, lonely because of the times, lonely because of the cruel fate and cruel youth given by the times, lonely because of the confusion of youth.
So each of us is an epic, condensing the energy of an era, but then most of us can only be fractured epics because we haven't dealt with the era yet.
We are the marvelous Post 90s, the lone epic.
In the future, I will not regularly update "Post 90s" such as some of the drops of the past years, soothing my deepest warring soul, but also hope to be close to your memory of the world.
