Liu Qing, a native of Rongchang, Chongqing, is a renowned composer and national-level composer, enjoying the special government allowance issued by the State Council. He is currently the composer of the Song and Dance Troupe of the General Government of the People's Liberation Army. He serves as a judge of the CCTV Youth Song Contest.
Since he started composing at the age of twelve, he has published and broadcasted more than 900 pieces of songs, instrumental pieces, dance music, movie and TV drama music. There are 216 pieces of works in the national and provincial, ministerial level and above in all kinds of competitions, awards. Published seven collections of individual works (cassette and CD).
