Beijing trip

Composition on a trip to Beijing (1)

Time flies! The short but happy winter vacation life has passed. However, interesting things from the holiday still pop up in my mind from time to time, especially the trip to the Happy English Speedy Winter Camp, which I will never forget.

On the morning of February 3, I boarded the train bound for Beijing with longing for winter camp activities. The next morning, we arrived at Beijing West Railway Station.

As soon as I got off the car, I was attracted by the rows of high-rise buildings in Beijing: it is surrounded by mountains, the sky is bluer than elsewhere, it is simply a landscape painting with elegant colors, and the villas are built one after another. , like pearls inlaid in our great capital. We ignored the scenery and hurried to the campground to start our winter camping activities.

The next day we officially started our life at the Happy Speed ??Component English Winter Camp. Everything was different. The teachers, classmates, classrooms, textbooks, and even the grass and flowers smelled different. Everything was so different. Fresh. Teacher Ma Jinzhong, who teaches us English classes, integrates games into learning and plays many interesting games for us, such as English auction, stool grabbing... We learned new English words without knowing it. In the evening, we also have various activities, such as DV lectures with experts, conversations with New Oriental English teachers, and exchanges with famous mathematics teachers from the High School Affiliated to Peking University. Among them, the most exciting thing for me is the DV shooting. It made me addicted to being a star. We played a group of naughty students who made all the teachers angry. However, a Chinese teacher came and she was the only one who had confidence in us and did not give up on us. In the end, we became Become a good student. The most embarrassing thing for us was the hip-hop dance, but we were like dancing yangko. But the hard work paid off, and each of us won a prize, the Peking University emblem.

During this winter camp life, I not only enjoyed the fun of learning English very fast every day. And under the guidance of the counselor, we visited the China Science and Technology Museum. What excited me the most was that I actually climbed onto the Great Wall and became a hero. Standing on the top of the Great Wall and looking down, everyone was wearing yellow battalions. The "yellow elves" who serve us are like ants, while the Great Wall is like a winding dragon, and we are the descendants of Yan and Huang who step on the dragon. The most exciting thing is that we also went to watch the flag-raising ceremony. At 7:14, the golden wheel of the sun suddenly fell silent in the vast square. In an instant, the military band played the solemn national anthem that represents the hearts of hundreds of millions of people. The five-star red flag and the dawn Rising slowly together, just like the moment when the sun jumped out of the ground, suddenly, the bright red flag appeared in front of our eyes! Here, our short but happy English winter camp life came to a perfect end.

On the day I returned to Guangzhou, I was really reluctant to leave. The rich English class, the beautiful scenery of the Great Wall, the solemn flag-raising activity, the dialogue with scientists... are deeply engraved in my memory. I will definitely learn English well. I know it is not easy, but I will try my best for my tomorrow. I think that winter camp activities in the future will be better and more exciting.

Essay on a trip to Beijing (2)

On July 2, my father and mother and I arrived at Beijing International Airport by plane , then the tour guide took us by car to Tiananmen Square, where there is the solemn and magnificent Monument to the People’s Heroes. The weather was very hot that day, and the tour guide said: "It just rained yesterday, and the sky today is particularly blue, which is rare!" Tiananmen Square is so big, and a group of us took a group photo there.

Walking, walking, we arrived at the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City is located in the center of Beijing, also known as the "Forbidden City". The Forbidden City is magnificent, with red walls and yellow (gold) tiles. We entered the Meridian Gate first, then the Gate of Supreme Harmony, the Hall of Supreme Harmony... In front of some of the main halls in the Forbidden City, there are large metal jars placed in the courtyards. So, what are these large tanks used for? It turns out that they were a fire prevention facility in the Forbidden City at that time.

We also went to the Treasure Hall and Clock Hall. There were phoenix crowns, huge ivory and ivory mats in the Treasure Hall... There were all kinds of clocks in the Clock Hall, which was really eye-opening. After walking out of the Forbidden City, we went to Jingshan Park and then went to eat.

The next morning, we got up very early and took a bus to the Badaling Great Wall. Looking from a distance, there are many small houses on it. We sat on the ropeway for a while, and then started to climb the Great Wall. There were slopes and steps. The steps were high and low. The high ones were more than half of my knees, and the low ones were only as high as one foot. Climbing and crawling, I finally climbed to the North 8th floor. After resting for a while, I walked back. The force of my downward plunge was so great that I fell down a very sloping slope and stopped completely when I was almost on the ground. Finally, we went to the "Bird's Nest" and "Water Cube", and this was the end of the day's trip.

On the third day, we took a bus to the "Confucius Temple and Imperial College" on Chengxian Street. There were many trees there, and one of them was from the south, which I found strange. After that, I took a sign that said "Fu Lu and Welfare", and after I wrote "Li Hongchen's whole family" on it, I went to worship Confucius. Finally, we visited the cloisonné production process and the Military Museum, where we experienced the turning operation of a fighter jet and took photos as a souvenir.

On the fourth day, we took a bus to the Central Radio and Television Tower. Looking from the bottom up, the tower is about 400 meters high. Then, we took a boat and took the "Cixi Waterway" to the Summer Palace. I sat on the boat and enjoyed the beautiful scenery along the way, and listened to the tour guide’s explanation about the long history and rich cultural connotation of the Cixi Waterway. There is a big lake in the Summer Palace called "Kunming Lake". It is very similar to the West Lake in Hangzhou, but not as big as the West Lake. After leaving the Summer Palace, we went to Peking University, which is a school that everyone dreams of! Peking University is famous for its One Tower Lake, and the tower refers to the Boya Tower located next to the Weiming Lake of Peking University. It was originally the campus water supply tower. Weiming Lake is the largest artificial lake on the campus of Peking University. If you want to study in such an environment, you have to work a hundred times harder. After leaving Peking University, we went back to the hotel.

On the morning of the fifth day, we got up early, packed our luggage and went to the airport. We reluctantly left Beijing by plane, ending our trip to Beijing.
