"Ievan?Polka" is a Scandinavian regional song written in the 1930s by Eino?Kettunen to a traditional Eastern European polka tune.It was popularized by the a cappella group Loituma in 1995, and a version of the song has been circulated that includes an "I" as the first word in the title. The popular version of the song changed the first letter of the title from "I" to "L", not only because of their resemblance, but also to symbolize the song's other alias, "Loituma's?Polka". The Finnish word for Ievan is Eva (Ieva, Eeva). The main version in circulation is about 2 minutes and 30 seconds long.

The "Onion Flinging Song" was originally a Finnish folk song, and in 2004, the second episode of the anime "BLEACH" by Kubo Bandits in Japan featured a scene in which "a smiling Inoue Ogi, holding a large onion in her hand, was spinning around", which is the origin of the phrase "onion flinging".

This is the origin of the phrase "flinging onions".

The song was later covered by Holly Dolly and released on an album, which was also a hit in Europe. It was another song that first became a hit via the internet and then came out on an album after Mark Axi. Although the song is officially an original, it is clearly a folk tune from Finland. Then later netizens combined with the Japanese cartoon "BLEACH" in the "throwing onions" picture made into a flash, and thus was named "throwing onions song", and became popular on the Internet.
