China's ancient tradition of nature has been worship, awe, so for a variety of things, are crowned with the gods said, so produced, mountain gods, water gods, and the door god, stove god, house god, etc., but today we are talking about is little-known god of the toilet, let a person unexpected is that she is also a beautiful woman who can sing and dance. She is the concubine of Liu Bang, the first Han emperor, Mrs. Qi.
Mrs. Qi, whose birth year is unknown, was a native of Tao Ding, Shandong Province, and whose father had been Marquis Gaowu of Han, Mrs. Qi, whose real name was Qi Yi, lived in the late Qin and early Han Dynasties. Legend has it that she once helped Liu Bang to avoid pursuing soldiers, and thus met with Liu Bang, and because of the beautiful appearance, dance, especially good at dancing Liu Bang's favorite "Chu Dance", and therefore for Liu Bang's favorite consort. So how did she become the god of the toilet? Let's listen to a story.
The story goes that Liu Bang led his army through Dingtao in Shandong Province, and met a young girl named Qi Yi, who, with victory in sight and the desire to enjoy herself, decided to take her away after seeing Qi Yi's marvelous dance, and in this way, the young girl Qi Yi became the woman of the Han king, Liu Bang.
In fact, Liu Bang was old enough to be Qi Yi's grandfather. However, when Chi Yi followed Liu Bang, she was no longer a young girl Chi Yi, but changed her identity and became Mrs. Chi. Because Mrs. Qi, good at dancing, can play the drum. So Liu Bang loved her very much and kept her in the tent of the military camp. At this time, Liu Bang had long forgotten his wife, Lu Qiang, who was captured by Xiang Yu, and the seed of tragedy was sown at that time.
Subsequent generations tend to remember only the image of Lu Piang as a poisonous woman, but ignore the catalytic role played by Liu Bang in this matter. If Liu Bang had been more caring and considerate to his wife, she would not have gone to the extremes that she did later. After marrying Liu Bang, she didn't have a day of peace and quiet, and she admitted that she had to work hard and suffer, but the most chilling thing was that Liu Bang's heart was not in the child of Liu Bang and Lu Xiangqiang.
After the Gangan peace conference, Xiang Yu released Lv Qiang, who returned to her husband Liu Bang, but found that Liu Bang already had a new woman, completely cold treatment of her, in a flash, years of hardship into a full of grievances, but Lv Qiang did not break out, and she patiently waited for the opportunity.
Biased on the fact that Mrs. Qi was a simple-minded woman, she relied on Liu Bang's favor and entertained the idea of competing with Lu Piang. After she gave birth to her son Ruyi, she often blew pillow talk to Liu Bang, asking him to change the crown prince. Seeing that his youngest son Ruyi was smart while the crown prince was cowardly, Liu Bang wanted to change the crown prince, and in this way, the battle between Lv Pheasant and Madame Qi began.
Mrs. Qi was still too young and lacked experience and wisdom. What she possessed was the emperor's favor, and her weapon was a woman's cry. But after all, Empress Lu had come through the storm, and she possessed far more resources than her love rival Qi Ji. She was the empress of the Han Dynasty, and most of the founding ministers and generals in the courtroom were on her side.
Finally, Zhang Liang came up with the idea of asking Empress Lu to invite the "Four Hao of Shangshan," the survivors of the previous dynasty. When Liu Bang saw four old men with white hair standing behind the crown prince Liu Ying at a banquet, he was shocked and said to Mrs. Qi, "I wanted to change the crown prince's position, but he has already been assisted by the Four Hao, and his wings are already abundant. I would have liked to change the crown prince, but he has been assisted by the Four Hao, his wings are already abundant, and it is difficult for him to change his position." As a result, the outcome of the victory or defeat is so determined, Mrs. Qi's tragedy also came.
Unsurprisingly, after Liu Bang's death, Lu Piang immediately retaliated against Mrs. Qi, she ordered Mrs. Qi to shave off her long hair, put on a prisoner's uniform, and shut her into Yongxiang, pounding rice every day, and if she failed to complete the task, she would be punished, and how could a dancing body eat such hard work? While pounding rice, she sang, "My son is a king, my mother is a captive, and I have to pound rice all day long. I am always with the dead, 3,000 miles away from each other, who will tell you."
How she hoped that her son, the king of Zhao, would come to her rescue!
Mrs. Qi was a simple-minded woman after all. She sang so, her son could not get the news at all, but the eunuch who watched immediately reported to Empress Dowager Lu. The Empress Dowager was furious and immediately set out to deal with the King of Zhao. Although Liu Bang made careful arrangements to protect the King of Zhao Ruyi before his death, he could not fight against the powerful Empress Dowager after all, and Ruyi was eventually poisoned by the Empress Lu.
Mrs. Qi did not know that her son was dead, and she was still waiting for him to save her. In the end, she waited for the Empress Dowager's men, she was dosed with mute medicine, poked her eyes blind, deafened her ears, and thrown into a pigsty. Not only that, the poisonous woman Lu Piang also named Mrs. Qi a human swine, i.e. a half-human, half-pig monster. In the end, Mrs. Qi died after struggling for three days.
Ancient people raised pigs, often in the toilet, so some people in later times named Mrs. Qi as the god of toilet. A beauty who could sing and dance with bright eyes was thus reduced to a minor god of dirty places.
