First of all, we can look at the Book of Egypt from the perspective of Christian theology.
Christianity believes that the significance of Exodus is the salvation of God.
Egypt, in a spiritual sense, refers to the world. Moreover, this is a sinful world, and everyone will die in this world because of their sins, and no one can avoid it. And "going out of Egypt" means leaving Egypt, leaving the so-called evil world and leaving death. Therefore, going out of Egypt is the beginning of God's salvation work.
In short, from a theological point of view, God led the Israelites out of Egypt, and all kinds of miracles God did in this event proved that God was omnipotent and showed his incomparable love for the people he chose. Therefore, Christians regard this religious event as the prospect of the prediction that Jesus Christ will save all mankind from the abyss of sin, and the initial realization of a concrete step.
Christian borrowing. That's what I want to warn the world.
But the problem does not stop there. In fact, there is still a lot of information hidden.
Religious scholars also understand an important significance, that is, the background and specific process of Judaism, a monotheistic religion.
Because archaeology proves that Egypt is a polytheistic nation. So why did the Israelites who followed Moses out of Egypt believe in the monotheism of God? Another question is, why do Israelis have to leave Egypt? In fact, they can at least let others leave Egypt under the guidance of God.
According to the discovery of modern Egyptian field archaeology, there was a very short period of monotheism in the history of Egyptian religion supported by Pharaoh. In the end, monotheism failed because of the death of Pharaoh who supported monotheism and the counterattack of polytheism. The rest of the believers left Egypt to escape capture. The burned monotheistic temples found in field archaeology, stone carvings recording the struggle between two religions and other related relics all prove this historical event. Therefore, these monotheistic believers who fled Egypt, Exodus, actually gave the answer.
Another fact is that historians have compared the human lineages and dynasties recorded in the book with those of Egyptian pharaohs. The result is similar. In other words, the human lineage recorded in the book is that of the Egyptian Pharaoh.
Then according to the narrative and archaeological findings, religious scholars believe that the origin of monotheism represented by Judaism has been found. In other words, the original source of monotheism, including Christianity, can be traced back to that period in the history of monotheism in Egypt. Moreover, the emergence and development of this monotheism has actually been fighting against the surrounding polytheism. History shows that the Roman Empire, which once ruled the Jews, also believed in polytheism in the early days.
Historians have solved the mystery of the origin of the Israeli nation. Because the origin of this nation is very mysterious, their archaeological remains in this part of Israel prove that Israel is not their birthplace. Some scholars believe that Israel is descended from Semitic people. But DNA research shows that they are closer to all ethnic groups in the Middle East. They are basically cousins.
Therefore, historians believe that Jews live in the lineage of copying Egyptian pharaohs, and it means that Jews actually come from monotheistic believers who fled Egypt. Moses should have a very high position in the Egyptian dynasty, or at least be the highest-ranking priest.
