There are two times about Lin Daiyu burying flowers. The first time was in March when Daiyu was twelve years old. At that time, Daiyu and Master Bao were together. Baoyu said that he would scatter all the fallen flowers in the water and let them drift with the flow.
But Daiyu didn't support his idea. Daiyu thinks it is a waste of flowers to scatter fallen flowers in the water, because the water in the garden is clear, but it is circulating. The water outside the garden is not so clean and may smell, so the flowers are defiled.
So she chose to put the flowers in a bag and then bury them underground, so that the falling flowers could transform themselves slowly over time without polluting the whiteness of the flowers.
The influence of parents' death on Daiyu's character
Parents are children's first teachers, and good parent-child relationship affects the formation of children's character. Daiyu lost her mother at the age of 7 and her father at the age of1/kloc-0. These two events occurred in her school age and adolescence respectively, which were the key periods for her self-awareness development and two major impacts on her mind. The successive death of parents is another important factor affecting the formation of Daiyu's character.
My parents died, and I was lonely, so I had to leave my hometown and live in the fence. In "Lin Daiyu abandoned her father to Beijing", Lin Ruhai once said to her:
It can be seen that Daiyu is extremely reluctant to leave home. It is really a last resort. At this time, she was only seven years old. A seven-year-old child left her hometown and went to other places, leaving a complex of "unfortunate life experience" in her young mind.
In the fifty-seventh episode of Huizijuan's love talk tries to help jade, and menstrual love talk comforts infatuation, Daiyu sighed with tears when she saw Miss Bao coquetry in her mother's arms: "He is so biased here, obviously someone who is angry with me without a mother deliberately stabbed me in the eye."
Daiyu's family can be said to be a broken family. She lost her parents one after another, which is a kind of spiritual destruction for the children in their formative years.
