Overview of Pan'an Township

Pan'an Township is located in the western part of Gangu County, 105°04′ east longitude, 34°43′ north latitude, west of Wushan County Luomen Township. It is 13.5 kilometers long from east to west and 8.78 kilometers wide from north to south, with an area of 171.68 square kilometers and a population of 77,447 in 19,140 households (at the end of 2008). Jurisdiction of 1 community, 52 administrative villages. The town government in Pan'an, 23 kilometers from the county. Located in the Weihe River channel area. The average altitude of 1360 meters. The Longhai Railway and National Highway 316 pass through the town, and there are two train stations in Pan'an and Yangjiazhuang. Attractions include Daxing Mountain Scenic Area, Maojiaping Neolithic Ruins, Jianshan Temple National Ecological Park and Nanshan Temple Park.
