The South China Botanical Garden is one of the largest botanical gardens with a long history, the most preserved species and the largest area in my country. It has nearly 8,000 species of plants and covers an area of ??5,000 acres. It is known as the "Expo of Wonderful Trees from All Countries" that never ends. It is a paradise for plant and flower lovers.
The park’s landscape architecture imitates nature, with the classic “Longdong Qilin” scenic spot and various scenic spots rich in Lingnan garden characteristics. Strange and interesting flowers and trees, the scenery is pleasant.
It’s afternoon, and a cool breeze blows in your face, refreshing and relaxing. When I looked up, I saw the five characters "South China Botanical Garden" carved on the rock.
After entering the door, I saw fountains on the lake soaring into the sky. These fountains rose rapidly like rockets. From a distance, some water droplets can spray onto us. These fountains in the lake are like fairies with their graceful dancing postures, making tourists happy to watch and have fun. The fountain in the center of the lake is different from other fountains. Other fountains only spray water, but the water here seems to be dancing, showing its charm. There are many short fountains surrounding the fountain, which looks like stars over the moon. On both sides of the lake, there are beautiful peonies, green trees and flowers, and birds singing and dancing. Even skilled painters find it difficult to describe its scenery.
Walking along the tree-lined road, I just feel the greenery coming towards my face. The ancient trees beside the road are towering and verdant. There are tall and tall palm trees on both sides of the road, which are majestic and strong. In the wind and rain, they are like soldiers defending the peace of the motherland. Walking on the tree-lined road, you feel refreshed and relaxed.
After crossing the tree-lined road, you come to Zhangshu Road. The so-called "camphor tree road" is a road full of camphor trees. The camphor tree is a thick tree, and you can only see its top clearly by looking up.
Next, walk along Zhangshu Road and you will come to the "Mango Road" full of mangoes. The leaves of the mango road tree are different from other leaves. This kind of leaf has stripes and very deep veins, and its red leaves are as bright and beautiful as paintings. The leaves of the mango tree are larger and so beautiful! The mango trees are full of mangoes and can also provide people with sweet and delicious food.
Then, after walking through Mango Road, you came to a bridge. The bridge is arched and built with solid strips of stone. The edges of this arch bridge are carved with scenes from ancient wars, which are very exquisite and delicate. Visitors can stand on the bridge and stop to admire the beautiful scenery of the lake. The willow trees spit out goose-yellow buds, like chicken chicks that have just broken out of their eggshells. The children on the shore are chasing each other, and the young people are holding books and reading, and the wind is gently turning the pages for them... This is really What a beautiful view. Under the bridge, fish were swimming in groups. I threw fish food for them, and they all gathered to fight for the food.
Next, we arrived at the plant landscape "Ecological Garden". The main landscape plant in the Plant Landscape Ecological Park is lotus. The lotus is pink, but there are also yellow, white, purple and other colors. Lotus flowers of various colors stand gracefully among the lotus flowers. Some are still small buds, tightly packed with red tips, like a shy little girl. Some have already opened, and are stretching their beautiful petals in the breeze. In the water, when the breeze blows, they look like several flowers. A beautiful fairy is dancing. The petals of the lotus are larger and pink. In summer, after a shower, water droplets swirl on the lotus leaves, like crystal-clear pearls rolling around each other.
Finally, we came to "Orchid Garden". When you hear the name, you must think that there are only orchids in the Orchid Garden! In fact, there are any flowers you want in it, but orchids are the most popular.
The flowers planted in the orchid garden have the largest variety of flowers in the entire scenic spot. The Orchid Garden is divided into three visiting areas: one is indoor, the other is outdoor, and the third is greenhouse. Greenhouses are adapted for tropical plants. When Lan Yuan walked in and walked down the steps, a scent of fragrance hit her face. "Hey! What is this?" I saw a strange plant next to me. It is red, formed into a bunch, and has a long shape like a dumpling. It turns out that this is a rare plant called "Red Heliconia", native to South America.
It grows in clusters on the tree and is really rare.
Then we came to a pond. The pond is full of water lilies. The so-called water lily is also a kind of lotus and belongs to the "lotus" category. Water lilies look similar to lotus flowers, except they are dark pink. Do water lilies really sleep? You must be interested in the answer to this question! Well, I will tell you the answer. In the early morning, the water lilies slowly open their petals to reveal their charming dreamland. So the water lily seems to be sleeping. The petals of water lilies are very large. The outer petals are dark red, the inside gradually turns light red, and the tips of the petals are even redder.
Then, we entered the indoor plant area of ??the Orchid Garden. The indoor plant area has a rhizome that is about one meter long and hangs from a tree. It is a kind of tent that hangs on a tree. It is gray and has traces of being carved on it. People who don't care for plants have carved scars on this vine. How painful it must be for the little vine! It turns out that this vine is called "Cliff Foot Vine" and it is very long. This flower is both poison and medicine. Why do you say that? "Mandora" eaten raw can cause various adverse diseases. It's because mandora flowers contain a toxin that acts as an anesthetic. *** There is a mandela in it. In ancient times, the famous doctor Hua Tuo used mandrake as an anesthetic for people to perform surgeries.
Finally, my grandpa and I went to the greenhouse to see the orchids. There are many varieties of orchids, let’s talk about Phalaenopsis first! Phalaenopsis has only four petals, but it comes in many colors. Available in light yellow, light pink and white colors. Phalaenopsis orchids look like butterflies. They are knotted on the left and right sides of a stem. If I saw it from a distance, I would have thought it was a butterfly!
There is also a plant grown in a greenhouse. It's called "Many-flowered Zhilan". This flower is only pink, and it is also known as "Pink Cassia". The petals of Orchid multiflora are smaller, with several petals arranged in a cluster, and the petals are shaped like fingernails. The flowers of this tree only bloom in summer. The top of the flower is pale pink, and the core is wrapped in flowers. It is very beautiful.
We walked out of the orchid garden and walked into the bushes. Among the trees, there was a short and small coconut tree called "Wine Bottle Coconut", which was full of coconuts. There are many coconut trees, all of which are wine bottle-shaped, and their lower body looks like a wine bottle.
While walking, walking, my head hit a big tree. "It's so high!" I looked up at the big tree. It looks like an elephant's feet! It turns out that this tree is called palmetto. I heard that there is a legend about the origin of this name: a long time ago, there was a village near the sea, and there were tsunamis every year. The villagers decided to send people from the village to find an elephant foot tree that could prevent tsunamis. But I haven't found it for several days. The only person named Pu Kui is still looking. After searching for more than ten days, Pu Kui still couldn't find it, so he decided to continue looking. A god in the sky was moved by his spirit and gave him an elephant foot. At this time, it was also exhausted and died. After death, it turns into a tall and straight tree, protecting the village from tsunamis. To this day, this tall and strong tree still looks a bit like an elephant’s legs!
Finally, we reluctantly left the botanical garden.
The South China Botanical Garden is something I will never forget because it taught me a lot of knowledge. We also enjoyed the beautiful scenery brought to us by nature.
