The Jiejiegao, which has been passed down in Xipangzhuang Village, Changlu Township, Ningjin County, Xingtai City, is a comprehensive folk dance art. It integrates acrobatics, martial arts and opera, and is suitable for both square and street performances, as well as stage performances. It is often performed during the Spring Festival and is quite popular among local people.
The Jiejie Gao has been passed down for about 150 years or so. From the point of view of the singing music of Jiejiegao, it has the style of the southern part of the Yangtze River. From the point of view of the "clappers" used and the operas sung, it has northern characteristics. The "clappers" used in the singing of "Jiejie Gao" are the same as those used in the performance of Henan Yu opera.
Jiejie Gao is named after the acrobatic performance of "human ladder" (commonly known as "stacking Luohan") as a form of performance, taking its meaning as "one section is higher than the other". The performance consists of eight people, four male youths (20-25 years old is appropriate) as the first layer of the "human ladder", which is called the "base", and four boys (10-12 years old is appropriate). Four boys (10-12 years old), one pretending to be the eldest, one pretending to be the second eldest, one pretending to be the eldest, and one pretending to be the second eldest, step on the shoulders of the "base", and with the rhythm of the percussion music, they seem to be like a taller "long man", dancing around. The body and footwork of the "base", the performances and gestures of the students and dancers are harmonized to form the unique folk art style of "Jiejiehao".
Jiejiegao is a song and dance performed by an actor carrying an object on his shoulder and another actor on his back. They are firmly tied together by iron cores and crescent nails (iron cores with crescent nails and wooden seats underneath the trips). Generally speaking, the actors below are strong men and the actors above are mostly children or women. Usually, they are in groups of two, each performing a set of dramatic stories, such as "Playing Peony", "Strolling Lanterns", "Wanjiajian", etc. Their movements are based on the "Groundwork of the Earth". Their movements are based on the "rice-planting song" steps, and at the same time, according to the performance requirements, they can be fast or slow, or medium-speed performance. In addition, they also perform acrobatic maneuvers such as "single-holding fence", "double-holding fence" and "double-dragon out of the water" to show their superb dancing skills and beautiful dancing posture.
The heavy pavilion is also known as "Jiejiegao", and some places call it "back pavilion", "kongxinzi", etc. The "Jiejiegao" is divided into "Jiejiegao", "Jiejiegao" and "Jiejiegao". Jiejie Gao" is divided into "four dancers", "three dancers", "two dancers" and "improvisation" in four forms.
The "Four Dancers Dance"; that is, two students and two dancers dance at the same time. The student is based on the steps of the old man on the opera stage; the dan is based on the "steps" of the round field. In the formation changes are often interspersed with male and female flirting action to enhance the atmosphere of the scene.
