Why is fishing not allowed in the south river of Nanjing?

No fishing area. Nanjing, known as Jinling and Jiankang in ancient times, is a prefecture-level city, provincial capital, sub-provincial city, mega-city and the core city of Nanjing metropolitan area under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province, and an important central city in eastern China determined by the State Council. Because fishing in this area is too frequent and there are not many aquatic organisms in it, it was later designated as a fishing ban by the relevant departments. Therefore, the South River is a place where fishing is forbidden, and no one can fish.
