Plot introduction
Yes. You may never let anyone who wants a lift on the bus ... Grace Andrews and Jim halsey are a young couple. During the school holiday, they decided to drive across the United States with go on road trip. They drove the 197 Oldsmobile 442 on the road, but the journey was not as pleasant as they expected. They didn't go far, and they began to have some kind of small friction. What they don't know is that this is just a prelude to the hellish nightmare in the future. The journey by car is long and boring, so when Grace and Jim found someone reaching for a ride on the roadside, they picked him up, which can effectively reduce the space for their quarrel. The hitchhiker introduced himself as John Wilder, who likes to talk endlessly, but the more information John revealed, the more frightened Grace and Jim became. Until John said that he had just killed the last hitchhiker, Jim finally couldn't stand it and kicked John out of the car.
However, the ominous shadow didn't disappear with John getting off the bus, but it accelerated the development of the situation. John followed them like a shadow, and the police officers in New Mexico regarded them as wanted criminals instead of helping them out of trouble. The first thing Grace and Jim should do is to overcome the suffocating fear, so that they can have a chance to survive and escape from the murderers.
