The most famous thing about Dalian is the "sea", which is also the theme of Dalian. So on the first day, let yourself feel the charm of Dalian's "sea".
You can choose to take the Dalian City Tour Bus, which operates from the end of April to the end of October every year. The bus is 30 kilometers long and runs for 90 minutes.
The specific routes are as follows: Dalian Railway Station - People's Square - Convention and Exhibition Center - Dalian Shell Museum -Forest Zoo -Fujiazhuang -Yanwoling Wedding Plaza -Beiqiao Bridge -Birdwood - Tiger Beach Paradise - Harbor Bridge - Zhongshan Square
***12 stops, you can get on and off the bus as you like. Sightseeing and enjoying the scenery anytime, anywhere. The whole line uses a day ticket, you can use the day ticket in any station on the way up and down many times, do not need to buy additional tickets. The fare is 10 yuan per person.
The buses start at 8:00 a.m. and end at 17:00 a.m., and depart at 30-minute intervals on weekdays and 20-minute intervals on weekends and holidays, and will be closed in case of inclement weather, such as rain or snow.
Basically, by taking this bus, you've basically traveled all over Dalian's most famous coastal road. But here's the thing: you don't get to see all the sights, some of which you'll need to see again, such as the Tiger Beach Marine Park.
Of course you can choose to have fun on your own. Depending on where you stay. But by and large, it is the coastal road plus the city square tour mainly to understand Dalian.
The following paragraph is my recommended tour route for guests staying at home, many guests reflect very good, but also here to share with you.
Our hostel is very close to Fu Jia Zhuang and Tiger Beach. All, I would recommend to my guests to walk 15 minutes from the hostel to Fujiazhuang, where they can feel the sea and sea breeze of Dalian.
Then take a bus from Fujiazhuang to the Forest Zoo, the Forest Zoo, do not enter, first, the ticket is too expensive, the price ratio is not high; second, the inside will take most of the day to visit the time, the tour is completed, I guess you don't have too much energy to go to see Dalian's city, so do not recommend.
But from the Forest Zoo you can walk to Dalian's most famous square, Xinghai Square. It is a must when you come to Dalian Xinghai Square. It is a very comfortable walk, with shade, wooden bridges, willows and sea breeze.
Passing by the Shell Museum to take a picture, the castle-style museum, I think it is very beautiful.
At Xinghai Square, the largest square in Dalian. After that you can get on the Dalian tram (also called Dangdang) 202 to start your Dalian city square tour. (There are photos in my Douban you can see Oh)

Xinghai Square-Convention and Exhibition Center-Fuguo Street-Attack Street-Jiefang Square-Jinhui Mall -Xinggong Street (end)
This should be the time for lunch, it is recommended to get off at Jinhui Mall, which is one of the two major commercial streets in Dalian, Xi'an Road. There are shopping malls, snacks and restaurants.
Recommended restaurants nearby: McKellogg's Xi'an Road store opposite the earth spring cake, very delicious!
Jinhui Plaza diagonally across the Huasheng Chongqing hot pot, very authentic, especially the husband and wife lung slices are very tasty.
These two are my favorite, huh, there are too many choices in the neighborhood. You can freely choose oh.
Eat enough, walk walk to the 202 terminal Xing Gong Street it. (You can ask passers-by, very famous car, everyone knows)
Transfer tram 201.
Tram 201 route is as follows: Xinggong Street - Zhengong Street - Wuyi Square - Datong Street - Beijing Street -Market Street -Dongguan Street -Dalian Railway Station -Shengli Bridge -Minsheng Street -Democracy Square -People's Road (the return trip is Century Street) -Sanba Square - Erqi Square - Siergou - Chunhai Street - Huale Square - Haichang Xincheng - Hai Zhiyun Park.
This 201 is the most unique bus line in Dalian, firstly, it is a bell bus, secondly, it almost crosses the whole Dalian city. The third is that it is a sectional billing, from Xinggong Street to Dalian Railway Station 1 yuan, if you do not get off at the Dalian Railway Station then you need to pay another 1 yuan to continue to ride on.
Through the May 1st Square (in fact, you can not see the square, was replaced by a viaduct), Shengli Bridge (off the car is the Russian style street, you can choose the first day to go, you can choose the last day to go, anyway, it's not far from the train station), Democracy Square, 38 Square, 27 Square, Huale Square, to arrive at the Hai Zhi Yun Square is also the Sea of Rhythm Park.
Hai Zhi Yun Park is actually the easternmost park on Binhai Road.
So I suggest you take 201 and get off at Renmin Road, which is the financial center of Dalian, where high-grade offices, Shangri-La Hotel, InterContinental Ocean Express, New World Hotel and other big-branded hotels are located, as well as Dalian's famous daily fishing port.
But the daily fishing port, don't go, fame, things are naturally expensive, in fact, the flavor is just that, did not feel there is anything too good. Not enough you can choose to Starbucks to sit, you can feel Dalian white-collar workers are how to survive in this city work.
Walking back from the People's Road, you will pass through Zhongshan Square and Friendship Square, which must be photographed, very distinctive, and I think it is the most distinctive square in addition to Xinghai Square.
Zhongshan Square around the Russian-style buildings you will feel very shocking, Friendship Square crystal ball, the night lights are lit up, is so glittering. At this time you will really find that Dalian is really beautiful.
Take a turn from Zhongshan Square or Samba Square to Tianjin Street, Dalian's famous snack street. Haha, ask the passers-by, everyone in Dalian knows it.
