Travel composition, for second grade students, 800 words

In the past, when I mentioned Dalian, others would praise Dalian’s squares, Dalian clothing, and Dalian football. But what impressed me most about Dalian was a billboard about Dalian: in the huge advertising screen Above, there is a pair of very majestic female mounted policemen riding tall horses, wearing straight police uniforms, police hats, and riding boots. Their eyes are staring into the distance. An affectionate slogan is printed next to them: Welcome to the Pearl of the North— —Coming from Dalian. In fact, in people's minds, the female mounted police have become Dalian's business card and the spokesperson of Dalian's external image.

This summer vacation, I set foot on this beautiful land. Bathed in the warm sunshine, wandering on the streets of Dalian, the city is full of greenery and full of vitality, and your heart suddenly becomes brighter. It is a kind of physical and mental relaxation, a kind of mood adjustment, and a kind of beautiful enjoyment. .

In the vast night, the station wagon drove quickly towards Dalian. My heart was filled with passion, and I silently recited the words "Dalian" that I was fascinated by. The tour guide accompanying us kept telling us about the origin of the name "Dalian": According to legend, more than a hundred years ago, there was a small fishing village called "Qingniwa" at the southern end of the Liaodong Peninsula. In the village lived two poor children who fell in love with each other. Do the work for the rich man. One day, they got a bag that could automatically release corn grains. When the old rich man knew it, he came to fight for it. As a result, he broke the bag. The bag flew into the air, flying higher and higher. The bag became bigger and bigger, and became two in the air. The mountain, with a roar, fell down and crushed the rich man underneath. The two ends of the river turned into two large mountains, connected to a narrow strip of land and surrounded by a large bay. People called this place "DaCao", and later it became "Dalian". When I returned to Dalian from Lushun, I really calmed down and appreciated this mythical city.

Dalian is clean and beautiful. Dalian is a hilly area, and the houses built there are tall and well-proportioned. And because Dalian had been occupied by Japan and Russia for forty years before liberation, many buildings still retain foreign characteristics. The buildings in Dalian are mainly European-style buildings that form the main planning framework, and different buildings have unique characteristics and taste, making the city look particularly foreign and modern. The tall buildings are located in the middle of green grass and bright flowers and plants all around, forming a strong contrasting beauty, especially Dalian's gardens, which are very exquisitely designed. This kind of exquisiteness is reflected in the details, such as the shape of the green space, the direction of the paths, and the styles of ornamental plants. It makes people feel that it is really done with care. The sanitation work in the streets and alleys has been done well. There are large green spaces on the roadside, neatly trimmed trees, blooming flowers, unique resting places, and there are no street stalls on the roadside, so there is naturally a lot less clutter. In the car, I found that the sanitation workers on the side of the street were also dressed in a very special way. They were dressed in green clothes. The men wore hats, while the women all wore headscarves and masks. Only their two eyes were exposed. Each of them had a plastic bag. small bamboo basket. Perhaps, it is precisely because of these voluntary cleaners that Dalian looks so neat, clean and beautiful.

Dalian’s urban planning is very neat. Industrial areas, cultural areas, and residential areas are clearly divided. Several streets in the old city still retain the style of decades ago. Both sides of Gorky Road are European-style. The small houses, each with distinct colors and cute shapes, look like forest huts in fairy tales. Coupled with the low-hanging ivy, they make it even more special. In fact, this is evidence that the three eastern provinces were occupied by foreign colonists. The old city looks like this, but the new city has absolutely modern buildings, with rows of high-rise buildings. Through the car window, what comes into view are the clean and tidy streets, European and Japanese-style buildings, street lamps of different shapes, beautiful squares, and buildings of fresh colors everywhere. No wonder many people say that Dalian is a city without history. It's quite extreme, but it makes sense. After all, Dalian was only established as a city for a few hundred years.

After arriving in Dalian, I realized that this trip plan was too short. In two days, I really had a lot to say, but time no longer allowed.

In desperation, I embarked on the journey home with reluctance, more or less melancholy in my heart...

Actually, my understanding of Dalian is still very shallow. It is impossible for me to fully appreciate the profound and implicit connotation of this city in a short journey, but I know that Dalian - this familiar name that makes people yearn for every time I think of it, has entered the depths of my heart and is within reach. And, thinking about it, thinking about it, and realizing it have always given me a grand feeling. I was still deeply shocked, shocked by the beauty of Dalian, and shocked by the charm of beautiful Dalian
