How to go to Hong Kong from Shenzhen?

There are generally two ways to get to Hong Kong from Shenzhen: crossing the border at Luohu Port and crossing the border at Futian Port. It usually takes anywhere from 1-3 hours. At Luohu Port, it takes about 1 hour to cross the border, but sometimes it's especially crowded and 2-3 hours is possible. Because of the MTR as the ride here, the bus price is within 100 RMB. If you are a group visa can go to the port on behalf of the group travel to send customs.

Huanggang Port, then, out of the customs can be done in about 2 hours (provided that does not include national holidays). From here to Hong Kong can only buy bus tickets, bus tickets 100 Hong Kong dollars, can only use Hong Kong dollars in cash, I know there are stops Disney, Tung Chung station. Others are less familiar. Because it's not as convenient, it's relatively quick to get out and in.

Shenzhen Bay Port Clearance Time

The clearance time at this port is from 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and 24-hour clearance is still under study; the special feature of this port is the implementation of "co-location of immigration and customs facilities". The special feature of this control point is the implementation of "co-location of immigration and customs facilities", that is, Hong Kong and Mainland China border control officers conduct inspection in the same building; officers of the two sides handle the inspection of travelers at different but similar locations, but neither side is responsible for the inspection only. This arrangement saves time.

Management approach

When the project was underway earlier, the implementation of co-location of immigration and customs facilities was delayed due to the failure of Shenzhen and Hong Kong to break through complex legal and administrative issues, and delays in the progress of works on the Shenzhen side. Finally, on October 31, 2006, the "Decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on the Authorization of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to Exercise Jurisdiction over the Hong Kong Port Area of the Shenzhen Bay Port" was passed by the Standing Committee of the 10th National People's Congress at its 24th meeting.

The Decision authorizes the Hong Kong Government to exercise closed administration within the Hong Kong Port Area located in Shenzhen, and the scope and duration of the Hong Kong Port Area shall be determined by the State Council of the People's Republic of China. The laws of Hong Kong shall be enforced within the Hong Kong Port Area and managed by law enforcement officers from Hong Kong.

Related Legislation

The Hong Kong Legislative Council passed the Shenzhen Bay Port Hong Kong Port Area Ordinance on April 25, 2007 to provide a legal basis for the implementation of co-location of immigration and customs facilities. Subsequently, the Government tabled the subsidiary legislation relating to the Shenzhen Bay Port Hong Kong Port Area at the Legislative Council for perusal.

Shenzhen Bay Port (SBP) was commissioned together with the Shenzhen Western Corridor at 6 p.m. on July 1, 2007 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the handover of sovereignty over Hong Kong. As its commissioning was part of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the handover of Hong Kong's sovereignty, the opening ceremony was officiated by Chinese President Hu Jintao and Hong Kong Chief Executive Donald Tsang Yam-kuen, among others.

Border closed area

According to the laws of Hong Kong, as the Hong Kong side of the Shenzhen Bay Port (SBP) has been designated as a border closed area, cross-boundary passengers must have valid travel documents. Non-cross-border travelers must have a valid Closed Area Permit (CAP) (commonly known as a Closed Area Paper) issued by the Hong Kong Police Force in order to enter the area, otherwise they will be prosecuted by Hong Kong law enforcement officers.
