The song takes the word "contradiction" as its starting point. The song starts with the word "contradiction": the contradiction between folk instruments and electro-synthesizers; the contradiction between pentatonic scale and piano off-key. The creation of "Xi" is like an experiment in the development of "niche music", says Ge Dongqi.
