The old fisherman leaves Liu Sanjie in his house. They went up the mountain to pick tea, down the river to fish, and lived a hard-working life. The landlord Mo Huairen wants to take over the tea mountain. Inspired by Liu Sanjie, the townspeople pull down the sign forbidding tea picking, and while picking tea, they satirize the landlord with mountain songs. When Mo Huairen tries to forbid the girls to sing, Liu Sanjie offers to sing a song with Mo Huairen, telling him that if he wins the song, he can stop singing. Mo Huairen, relying on his wealth and power, invites several Xiucai to sing with Liu Sanjie, attracting crowds from all directions. Liu Sanjie's songs were sharp and spicy, and Mo Huairen's invited scholars were defeated one after another. Mo Huairen fell into the water in a hurry and was in a sorry state.
Aniu and Liu Sanjie gradually develop feelings for each other, and Liu Sanjie secretly prepares an embroidered ball for Aniu. But Mo Huairen fails in his song and comes up with a new poisonous plan. He took the occasion of Liu San Sister's trip to the mountain to cut firewood, and sent his family members to snatch Liu San Sister to his home and threaten to lure her. With the help of the townspeople, Ah Niu went deep into Mo's house in the night to rescue Liu San Sister. Mo Huairen leads the houseguests to chase after her, but is teased by the townspeople.
At dawn, Liu Sanjie and Ah Niu came to the river under a big tree, and they expressed their love with a mountain song. ......

The film contrasts the ugliness of the landlords and the kindness and resourcefulness of Liu Sanjie and the townspeople, fully rendering the ideal colors of this folklore. The music by composer Lei Zhenbang is an indispensable factor in the popularity of the movie. In the film, Liu Sanjie's mountain songs are simple and vivid, rich in life and local color, accurately expressing the character and inner world of the main character. The melodious music, distinctive and vivid characters and the poetic landscape of Guilin harmoniously blend together, adding a unique artistic charm to the ancient legend.

Liu Sanjie is a Zhuang folklore character. Her legend was first seen in the Southern Song Dynasty in Wang Xiangzhi's "Yidi Jisheng", Volume 98, "Sanmei Mountain". Since the Ming and Qing dynasties, there are many legends and songs about her documented. The stories and songs passed on by word of mouth among the Zhuang folk are even richer.
According to legend, Liu Sanjie was a Zhuang peasant girl in the Tang Dynasty, and was regarded as a "goddess" because she was smart at a young age. At the age of twelve, Liu Sanjie was able to understand the scriptures and passages, and she was able to point to objects and sing songs, and open her mouth immediately. She made up her own songs and sang them as if they were springs of water, beautiful and moving, without losing the rhythm, so she was known as the "Singing Fairy". At the age of fifteen, he was employed by Lin's family, and in the 10th year of the Tang Dynasty (722), in order to resist Lin's forced marriage, he ran away with his lover Zhang Weiwang, and he did not know where he ended up. The folk thought that both of them became immortal and went away. Guangxi Yishan Zhuang legend, Liu Sanjie was born in the first year of the Tang Emperor Shenlong (703), from a young age, intelligent, able to sing. 12 years old, that is, the export of logic, the wonderful words, to the song speech, famous in the countryside of the Zhuang. However, her talent was hated by rogues and bullies, and she was killed in Liuzhou. Legend has it that after her death, she rode a carp to heaven and became an immortal. Some say that she was transformed into a stone in the west mountain of Guixian County, where she sang a song with a young man with a white crane for seven days. Others say that the rich man Mo Huairen wanted to take her as his concubine, but she resisted, and Mo bribed the government to persecute her, and she went away on a boat, and so on.
