Menglun Botanical Garden

Xishuangbanna Menglun Botanical Garden, full name of Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of Chinese Academy of Sciences, is located in Menglun Town, Mengla County. The botanical garden is surrounded by the Solo River, a tributary of the Mekong River. The Botanical Garden was founded in the 1950s by Professor Cai, a famous botanist. The garden covers an area of 900 hectares and has 3,000 species of domestic and foreign tropical plants, all growing well.

Primitive Forest Park

West Shuangbanna Primitive Forest Park, with a total area of 25,000 mu, is one of the largest comprehensive ecological tourist attractions in West Shuangbanna. The park integrates the unique natural scenery of the primitive forest and the charming ethnic customs.

Wild Elephant Valley Scenic Spot

West Shuangbanna Wild Elephant Valley is located in Mengyang Nature Reserve in the northern part of Jinghong, which is situated in the river valley at the junction of the east and west forest areas. In this million acres of tropical rainforest, there are many kinds of plants, layers of emerald green, tropical bamboo forests in a row, providing the most suitable habitat for the growth and reproduction of Asian elephants and other wild animals.
