How to do a good job of managing volunteer activities in your organization?

I. Clarify your motivation and purpose for volunteering

As far as I know, there are thousands of strange and various reasons for walking into a volunteer team. One of the most centralized reasons is - wanting to do something meaningful. You need to be reminded that real volunteer work requires long hours of total commitment, and just such a reason is not enough. Sympathy, excitement, sadness ...... all these emotions are not enough to support you to face all kinds of difficulties in volunteer work. Before becoming a volunteer, the first thing you need to do is to sort out your emotions and clarify why you are willing to join this team without any hesitation.

From personal experience, love is the greatest motivation. As a volunteer, you can only last as long as you truly love your work and the people you serve. Whether it's big or small, love is the most persistent and tenacious emotion.

Second, examine your own conditions, and act according to your ability

Do you have good physical conditions to participate in volunteer work? Is your family able to give you adequate support? Does your job allow you to spare some time? ......

We don't need the love of pouring out our family and the love of all people. Those who can't take care of themselves and those around them are not qualified to take care of and care for others.

Giving is never the same as sacrifice.

Three, with a mature and stable psychological quality

These years of youth volunteer work, let me y appreciate that the youth of volunteers is not a welcome thing. As a matter of fact, in the actual work, what I am most afraid of encountering is student volunteers. They are full of enthusiasm and are not afraid of hard work, but they lack a rational attitude and practical work experience, and are often prone to be emotional and even out of control.

Many people asked me for advice on how to volunteer at the train station during the Spring Festival snowstorm. At the same time a special police officer who stuck to the scene at the train station revealed to me that he was most afraid of the volunteers, who lacked organization and experience, and were complaining that the authorities had not made reasonable arrangements for them to shine when everyone could not spare time to take care of them.

In volunteer work, especially in the face of major sudden-onset disasters, don't overemphasize your own psychological needs, and doing what you can in small ways is the best way to help. For example, why do you have to go into the disaster site? Are you going to be tougher than the armed soldiers? Are you going to be more professional than the rescuers? You can choose more ways to participate in the disaster relief and rescue team, for example, the Spring Festival in the crowded subway station to help guide the people, help the elderly and children; for example, after the earthquake influence to persuade the people around you for the people in the disaster area to offer a love; ......

Not necessarily to stand in the line of fire, to be a hero.
