Shui Mu Nian Nian (水木年华年华), a humanistic folk singing group in mainland China, named after "Shuimu Qinghua" (水木清华), has four members, all graduates of Tsinghua University, and is currently comprised of Lu Gengxu (卢庚戌) and Miao Jie (穆杰).
In April 2001, Lu Gengxu and Li Jian founded Shui Mu Nianhua; in September of the same year, the group released its debut album, "A Lifetime of You," with the hit song of the same name, "A Lifetime of You," which became a hit; in May 2002, it released the album, "Youthful Legends," which was released shortly after the release of the album, and Li Jian quit and went solo, followed by Miu Jie and Yao Yong to join the group as a three-person combo.

July, the second season of "Summer of the Band" came back strong, with Ma Dong still acting as the host of the program, and Zhang Yadong and Dazhong Wei still acting as guests of the program, the difference being that the first season's Wu Qingfeng replaced with Zhou Xun. Another fan, who did not vote, also stood up to say why, saying that he felt that Shui Mu Nian was 40 years old and still singing about youthful goodbyes was nothing new, and that the stage should be reserved for new bands.
The two critics caused a lot of controversy after their comments, and the guests quickly came out to refute them. Zhang Yadong argued that everyone is at a different stage of life, and that some younger people may not listen to it or find it old-fashioned, but everyone in a parting gear will be moved to a different state of mind when they listen to this song by Shui Mu Nian Yi.
