Since Lin'an became the "10th District of Hangzhou" a year ago, the regional economy and urban and rural landscape have undergone remarkable changes. With the development of the "Global Scenic Area" construction, tourism and other industries are further fully integrated.
This year's Eighth Lin'an New Year's Eve Tourism Festival, the local government integrated and tapped into the rich New Year's Eve cultural activities in the mountainous regions of western Zhejiang, such as "posting spring couplets, sending New Year's Eve goods, sacrificing to the Zaoshen god, dancing with dragons and lanterns, making New Year's Eve cakes, making baklava," and organizing and carrying out the display of local agricultural and special products.
Mobilizing local village women and girls to prepare special dishes in rural areas, launched the "New Year's customary activities of the top ten products", "rural New Year's Eve dinner table", "thousands of feasts and other activities!

Yangxi Village: Yang over the New Year.

Folklore activities, every visitor to Yangxi Village is required to change into a Chinese dress, which enhances the sense of introduction to the scene and shows the charm of traditional Chinese culture in the process of experiencing the activities. Greeters dressed in stage costumes from "The Herb King Goes on a Journey" join in the sound of gongs and drums to welcome visitors, adding to the New Year's Eve atmosphere.
After entering the village, visitors can make couplets in the small square, go to the "filial piety temple" to participate in ritual activities, and feel the folk customs of Yangxi. You can also taste the three-way tea, filial piety feast, Ding Sheng cake, Ding Sheng wine, straw shoes, and of course, the pig feast. After the meal, a visual feast will be staged, "The Herb King's Exodus", "The Herb King's Exodus". Based on the legend of Han Shizhong, a famous warrior against the Jin Dynasty. The dance performance is a scene of Han Shizhong and Liang Hongyu training on the battlefield before the couple went to war. This bonfire party covers the local specialties in Lin'an, such as homemade soup dumplings, Golden Soup Dumplings (Greywater soup dumplings), hometown feast, etc. Guests can personally participate in the production and experience the food from the source. At the bonfire party, which is the highlight of the bonfire, guests will quickly get into the spirit through ice-breaking games, and then learn the enthusiastic She Bamboo Pole Dance or Lotus Lantern Dance from the teacher. Bridge (Gong Hang Smokehouse)

A gong is sounded and a 30-person wedding party sets off. Two men carry a gong on their shoulders, and Mr. and Mrs. Kim carry two lanterns with "Gong" and "Smoke House" written on them. A flower-bearing matchmaker and then a high-pitched "Xi'an" welcome plaque. The most beautiful part is of course the sedan chair, which is carried by four people. Behind the sedan chair, there are those carrying green bags, those carrying red and green peanuts, those preparing to carry the dowry, and the drum and gong teams setting off for the bride's home.

Baiyuan Village
Activities:
Baiyuan Village has a lot of characteristic gardens. The local subject group led by Huang, a tutor of China Academy of Art, will display them at the garden tour, where you can visit them one by one.
Many craftsmen live in Baiyuan Village, including Master Zhao, who plays with sugar, Master Jiang, who makes rattan, and Auntie Luo, who makes soymilk. They show their unique craftsmanship and prepare many traditional snacks of Lin'an.
At the parade, Baiyuan Village opened a rural fair and invited passers-by to pay New Year's greetings at the fair. Baiyuan Village's New Year's folk theater performance team has also prepared a surprise.
