Slow dancing, connecting with your body

Fell in love with dancing, slow dancing, free dancing.

In the fifth grade of elementary school, I choreographed a dance to the music played by my teacher for a school program. The first time I danced without the guidance of a teacher (we didn't have a dance teacher at that time). That occurrence has always been in the back of my mind, even though I don't yet know how any of this happened.

Later, it became known that this was real dance, the expression of body language flowing from the heart. Even though that program was not recommended. That was my life's first encounter with dance.

For so many years, busy running for survival, anxious and worried, forgetting to dance, or not think it is important.

During this time, I have also participated in square dancing, aerobics and the like, but usually for fitness, or to relieve physical and mental exhaustion, stress relief mechanical imitation of the movement.

After many years, I suddenly realized that this is the really important thing, to use the body to dance, to express the body's own language and emotions, to express the inner life.

By chance, I became acquainted with "Spiral Dance". The only rule is to draw an "8".

There is no set way to dance with your life.

The lack of routine, the freedom to dance and let the body move with itself, all of this is really very much in line with my own needs.

I'm originally a person without routines, or a person who doesn't like routines and rules, who likes to be free, who likes to be alone, who likes to move my body how I want it to move, and all the conditions are ripe for it, and it's just so easy to fall in love with it.

Spiral dance, any music can be danced, of course to slow music is good.

I have always loved this kind of meditative music, and under the guidance of such music, my body will automatically slow down the rhythm, my head, shoulders, arms and hands, chest and back, waist, hips, legs, and automatically relax under the guidance of slow music.

More often than not, the mind is full of thoughts, thoughts that we have no time to pay attention to our body's reactions and feelings, especially subtle reactions and feelings, unless we encounter a major trauma, we will only know that somewhere in the body is in pain.

But the body, as a very important part of our physical and mental existence, can actually express many of our inner emotions and feelings.

It should be said that it expresses our inner emotions and feelings all the time, but we don't really feel them, see them, and use the body to understand our own condition.

For example, when we are experiencing tension and stress, the body responds directly, but we experience these not as messages from the body, but as something external to us, or as something that our mind extends indefinitely.

What the body feels is the most direct condition of who we are as a person, and it is more real than our mind, which lies with its thoughts, but the body does not.

So know your body, know what's happening within you, be clear about your life situation at the moment, and your body can tell you the answer to that.

When you slow down your thinking, when you dance your body very slowly to the music, you are getting in touch with yourself intimately.

This contact allows the body to feel seen and loved, and it slowly relaxes, creating a very quiet environment that allows you to become very aware of your inner thoughts and the feasibility of those thoughts.

When we are working on a problem, the feasibility of a solution usually occurs when the mind slows down and is inspired.

That is, it reduces the difficulty of the problem and makes the maneuver easy to do. Slowing down the mind reduces the difficulty of the problem.

The body, by not picking up on the mind's rushed, upset, or disgruntled instructions, becomes relaxed.

So be clear about your inner condition, rather than being driven forward by outside forces all the time, which would keep you traveling in a high-pressure state of tightness.

Constantly being crushed and resisting. Inevitably, the body and mind will feel exhausted, and this resistance will fill you with inner anger and resentment. Anxiety, annoyance under the words and behavior stirs up your inner state even more.

I don't think this is a state of life we could ever want. Handling every situation with calmness and grace is the state we want to be in, isn't it? So, in what kind of condition can all this happen.

Naturally, it's when you're in a relaxed state of life, when you have a degree of control over yourself.

Slow dance, follow the music and let your arms, let your shoulders dance freely, very slowly, very slowly, very slowly relax and let your body tell you what is happening within.

You are in that moment, experiencing life, enjoying life.

Don't you like that better than the self that was too disturbed and nervous to relax.

You experience life to realize that your life is so beautiful.
