It was already 9 o'clock in the evening before I reached the door of the theater. The ballet in the theater, Swan Lake, must have finished its dreamy second act, and there may not be much left of the gorgeous and bizarre third act. I'm an avid ballet fan, so I hopped into a cab and made my way to the theater in a huff, even though I was delayed until 8:40 by a business emergency.
I didn't feel the drizzle until I got out of the car. It was a short distance from where I got out of the car to the wide steps leading up to the theater's main entrance, and to avoid getting wet, I went around the box office and the adjoining bungalow towards the steps, where there was a canopy to keep the rain off. As I trotted along, looking towards the theater doors, in my panic I suddenly bumped into someone's shoulder, and as I gained my footing and settled down, I saw that it was a young man, wearing a pair of eyeglasses. His eyes peered back at me from behind the lenses.
"Do you have a ticket?"
I was taken aback. There were people more obsessed with ballet than I was. In the small square in front of the theater, under the streetlight, in the drizzle, like giant beetles in the car, silent slanting into a large row, in addition to the two of us and then there is no one else. Halfway through the play on the stage inside, he's still here waiting for a refund?
"I want to see it myself!" I replied to him as I pulled out my ticket. Huh, why aren't there any?
"No," the young man told me amiably, "I don't want your ticket, just go in and see it!"
I pulled a stack of business cards from my coat pocket, pulled the precious theater ticket out of them, and asked in passing, "What are you doing here if you're not going to see it?"
"Waiting for the show to break up. Waiting for her to come out."
I immediately realized that it was a pair of lovers who came together to wait for a refund, and only waited for one ticket, so the young man let the girl go in first. I abruptly recalled my own youth, some of the ridiculous and sweet scenes of that year flashed in pieces in my heart, I can not help but state, "Ah, you need ...... you go in more than I do!"
I handed him the ticket, he took it, carefully looked at the row number seat number, returned to me, my ticket is first class, 180 yuan a, he is waiting for me to take the initiative to discount it? I was busy stating, "No need to pay, quickly go in!" But he still pushed my ticket-holding hand away.
I think this young man is very strange.
The lad was embarrassed and explained, "I promised to wait for her outside ...... she might come out early at any time ...... I'll still have to wait here until the show breaks up... ... "With that, he craned his head toward the theater doors, fearing that in the moment of our conversation, the girl would float out of the doors and he wouldn't be able to meet her in time.
I left the lad behind and ran for the theater doors. The drizzle was so light that I nearly slipped and fell on the steps in front of the doors. From the large glass of each door you could see the lights that were on in the front porch. But I pushed several doors and couldn't get them open. Then I realized that the one on the far side was ajar, and I pushed it open to enter. There was a lady on the front porch, I went over to her and handed her the ticket, she was shocked, looked at me confused, shook her head; followed by a uniformed man at the ticket gate between the front porch and the lounge. Apparently, that was the ticket collector. He asked the lady, "Aren't you going to look at it?" and me, "Are you going to look at it?" Then he asked me, "Are you ...... what's going on?" I found the lady I met first, no, I should say a wonderful woman, standing by the front porch door, looking out through the glass, I also twisted around and looked out, only to see that the young man is still in place, arms clasped in front of his chest, obsessed with this side of the theater door waiting ......
From the performance area dipped out of the final scene of "Swan Lake" of the music, the love between the prince and the white swan is about to break through the devil's obstacles and finally come full circle. The wonderful woman looked at the figure hidden by the rain, suddenly biting her lips, a strange light flashed in her eyes ...... I stood there, rubbing the gray hair on my temples, immersed in the eternal melody ......
