The Inheritance of Munao Zongge of Jingpo Nationality

With the development of the times, Munao Zongge Festival has become a folk festival for Jingpo people to celebrate the harvest by singing and dancing. 1983, discussed and approved by the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Dehong Prefecture, the Munao Zongge Festival was established as a legal national festival in Dehong Prefecture, and the time was on the fifteenth and sixteenth of the first month of each year. "Munao Zongge" is called "Dance of Ten Thousand People", which not only has a long historical tradition and broad mass, but also embodies the historical origin, religious belief, moral concept, music, dance art and cultural and artistic characteristics of Jingpo nationality. It is the best living material for studying the social history of Jingpo people, as well as ethnology and folklore. Jingpo nationality is a cross-border nationality. There are nearly one million Jingpo people living in northern Myanmar and northern India, and Munao Zongge is held at home and abroad. Longchuan County is the Jingpo ethnic group with the largest population and the most complete, standardized and representative Jingpo ethnic group in China.
