The reporter got news from the 16th Shanghai International Art Festival in 2014 that the Tibetan song and dance drama "The Enlightenment of Love", which is inspired by the love poems of Tsangyang Gyatso, will be presented to the world audience in the form of a play promotion outside the art festival trade fair. In front of our eyes, this musical is created by Xinhui Culture Entertainment, a subsidiary of SMG, and the Yushu Prefecture National Song and Dance Troupe of Qinghai Province.

According to the director team, the play is directed by Jiang Hanqing from the Shanghai Theater Academy and Pubu Yongcuo and Dawa Cairen from the Qinghai Yushu National Song and Dance Ensemble. The play is divided into six acts, each of which is connected by Tsangyang Gyatso's love poems; and the theme of the play is just like the title of the work, which is a song and dance drama about the cycle of life and death and the twelve causes and conditions.

Always misunderstood, never understood

Tsangyang Gyatso was misunderstood not only in "If You Are the One 2", but also in the TV series "Wulin Gaiden", the character " "Wushuang" once read a poem by "Tsangyang Gyatso": "In that life, I traveled across thousands of mountains, not to cultivate the next life, just to meet you in Luzhong." Many experts have done research on Tsangyang Gyatso’s poems. As early as 1930, Tibetologist Yu Daoquan translated Tsangyang Gyatso's poems into Chinese for the first time, and the number of poems included was 62. The "Love Songs of Tsangyang Gyatso" published in 1980 contains 74 songs. Professor Zhuang Jing of Minzu University of China once compiled 124 love poems by Tsangyang Gyatso. This version was included in "The Love Poems and Secret Biography of Tsangyang Gyatso" published in 1981. But at present, most experts recognize the collection of love poems of Cangyang Gyatso collected by Yu Daoquan. Other than this version, they are basically inspired works by later generations, including contemporary people, under the guise of Tsangyang Gyatso's name.
