The lyrics of "Ode to the Yellow River" are as follows:

I stand on the top of the mountain and watch the Yellow River roll.

Running to the southeast, the golden waves are surging.

It set off huge waves, and the turbid currents turned around.

It forms a nine-curtain chain and descends from Kunlun Mountain.

Run to the edge of the Yellow Sea and conquer the Central Plains.

Split into north and south sides, ah Yellow River.

You are the cradle of our nation, the ancient culture of five thousand years.

From your origin, there are so many heroic stories.

Playing around you, ah Yellow River.

You are great and strong, like a giant.

Appear on the Asian plains with your heroic body.

The Yellow River forms a barrier for our nation.

You are pouring out in a mighty and mighty way.

Thousands of iron arms stretch out to the north and south sides.

The great spirit of our nation will flourish under your nurture.

The heroic sons and daughters of our motherland will learn from your example.

As great and strong as you, as great and strong as you.
