Hong Zhanhui was born in 1982. He lives in Xihua County, Henan Province. His family conditions are not rich, but a family of five is calm and warm. However, when Hong Zhanhui 12 years old, his father suddenly suffered from intermittent mental illness, and his family suddenly became fragmented.
First, my mother was beaten by her sick father, and then my sister who just turned 1 was beaten to death by her crazy father. Little Hong Zhanhui seems to have grown up overnight. Together with his mother, he took on the responsibility of taking care of his father and brother.
In the same year, in 65438+February, the father who lost his daughter found an abandoned baby girl, and he said that he would raise the child no matter what, so Hong Zhanhui had another responsibility. He named his sister Hong. Although he calmed his father's mood, his illness was still good and bad. In August of the following year, my mother finally couldn't stand the poverty at home and the aggressiveness of her husband when he was ill, so she chose to leave without saying goodbye.
Since then, all the burdens in the family have fallen on Hong Zhanhui, who is 13 years old. He took care of his sick father, brother and sister, and looked for his mother who had never been found. In the third year of junior high school, Hong Zhanhui was in charge of the food for the whole family while studying. Money is earned by working on the construction site and setting up stalls outside the school. In his spare time, Hong Zhanhui is as busy as a bee. He has no time to rest and play. He is always thinking about how to make money to support his family.
Hong Zhanhui Jr. carried this family on his shoulders, but his father's mental illness continued to attack in high school, which made him stop studying again and again. Fortunately, good people from all walks of life are helpful to the Hong family. After hearing about the experience, the hospital promised to reduce the treatment fee for Hong's father, and the students often took care of the small business selling books, refills and insoles.
But Hong Zhanhui never accepts money from others. He said that although life is hard, he will create everything with his own hands. During his three years in high school, Hong Zhanhui not only studied and worked hard, but also provided education for his younger brothers and sisters. During this period, he fainted 16 times and dropped out of school 1 year because of lack of sleep and overwork, but every time he was inspired by more fighting spirit.
Ordinary students can finish high school in three years. Hong Zhanhui studied for five years and finally entered the examination room of the college entrance examination in 2003. After the results came out, Hong Zhanhui was admitted to Huaihua University in Hunan with 490 points. Now, through various channels of work, Hong Zhanhui has been able to pay her tuition, but her sister who just turned 10 needs someone to take care of her.
So, Hong Zhanhui started his career of "sending his sister to college". He got a chance to read to his sister in Shimen Primary School, and the school made an exception and arranged an empty dormitory for his brother and sister. During the day, I have to go to class and work, so Hong stays at home and cooks when he is sensible, waiting for his brother to come back.
In 2005, Hong Zhanhui was named as one of the "People Who Moved China". After graduating from Huaihua University, he went to Central South University for postgraduate study. After so much suffering, Hong Zhanhui finally created a wonderful life of his own. After graduation, he appreciated the help from all walks of life and set up a student fund to give back to the society. Now, Hong Zhanhui is the principal of Xianghua Middle School and other vocational schools in Changsha. He will use his own story to inspire generations of students to learn to be brave and self-reliant.
