The Hidden Corner

"You can believe in fairy tales". The Hidden Corner sees the ending and realizes it's an intertwining of reality and fairy tale. The two versions of Descartes, the behind-the-scenes truth about the three chicks, the two sides of the ending, and Zhu Chaoyang's two journals are all intertwined reality and fairy tale.

I. The two versions of Descartes

Zhang Dongsheng told the story of Descartes' heart-shaped line in his math class. "It is rumored that Descartes had been exiled to Sweden and met the beautiful Swedish princess Christina. When the king found out about this, he forcibly broke them up. Later, Descartes contracted a disease and died, and sent his last letter to the princess before his death, in which there was only one line: r=a(1-sinθ), which is the beautiful heart-shaped line. However, there is another legend. Descartes did not die of disease, but betrayal." The fairy tale was a romantic love story, the reality was cruel betrayal and abandonment. Zhang Dongsheng did not say which is the real version, we have no way to know.

The world is what you make of it. The same is true of Descartes' story. We can choose to believe in the fairy tale, or we can go ahead and believe in the cruel version of reality.

II. The Three Chicks and the Fox

The story of the three chicks is told in the credits. The three chicks are invited by the fox to visit his house. The eldest, the second and the third chickens decide to visit the fox's house after some arguments. Eventually the fox stays in the house and outside the window are three skulls. At first glance, I thought it was just a plain old warning story. A warning not to trust people so easily.

Thinking about it again, he realizes that things are not that simple. One of the skulls outside the window was that of a fox. And the fox in the room is just one of the chicks. The crime was planted on the fox's head, and the real big conspirators were the chicks. This story is, in fact, a metaphor for the three children and Zhang Dongsheng. And Zhu Chaoyang, is the fox disguised as a chick. While watching, we kept thinking that Zhang Dongsheng was a cruel man who carried multiple lives on his back, but at the ending, after repeated thoughts, we realized that the real conspirator was Zhu Chaoyang.

The incident of Zhu Jingjing's fall to her death is only revealed at the finale. "The clothes hanging from the tree branch and Zhu Chaoyang's seconds-long probe at the window all imply that Zhu Jingjing didn't fall, but hung on the tree branch. Is Zhu Chaoyang pushed her down, or let her lose her strength ...... We have no way of knowing, but the fact is not a simple fall.

III. The ending of the fairy tale and reality

Yan Liang was saved from the sea by Chen Guansheng on the shore, the old Chen dancing square dance, Yan Liang whistling and smiling next to him. Pupu went home and Xinxin's pairing was successfully revived. Everything is back on track, Zhu Chaoyang returned to school after an unforgettable summer vacation, still the good boy in the eyes of all the people, the school bully among students.

This is not the case. The details reveal that it is all a fantasy, a fiction. Zhang Dongsheng bought back three children's packages and ate them with tears in his eyes, in order to make up for the regret of Pupu's children's toys. At the opening ceremony, Yan Liang walked in wearing a white dress in the light, and only Zhu Chaoyang looked back at that moment. In the square dance, there are seven people in each row, and Lao Chen is sandwiched in the middle as the redundant eighth person. Reality is hidden in the happy ending, revealing the reality that people can not face.

IV. Hidden Reasons

"In the eyes of adults, children are always simple. Even if a child can lie, that lie is immediately pierced, and they can't even imagine the shenanigans of a child, even if they have been children themselves. "

It's hard to imagine that Zhu Chaoyang is the biggest schemer of all. He, who has excellent grades and a great ability to learn; who holds back after having his shoes stepped on by Zhu Jingjing; who sits in the backseat of his father's car because he knows there is no place for him here. He studied hard just to become the pride in his parents' eyes to get that little bit of extravagant love. No one would associate such a person with crime. Zhu Chaoyang, although the surface is as bright as the sunrise, but in the hidden corners, he hides deep in the darkness. His mother, who is strong and takes care of his life, thinks that studying is above everything and doesn't care if her son is withdrawn at school. His father, after starting a family, became an outsider, and the phrase "throw out the old" stung him y. It looks like he has a complete family, but in fact, he is y eroded by his family of origin.

Zhu Chaoyang wished he had not opened the door that Pu Pu Yanliang entered, after taking them in, everything changed. That door is not the cause of the crime; Zhu Chaoyang's self-selection is the root of the blackening.

Zhang Dongsheng and Chaoyang are one of a kind. On the surface he is a learned math teacher and a good man who takes care of his family. But at home, he is nothing more than a man betrayed by his wife and an incompetent in the eyes of his relatives. The image of baldness is a great contrast to his image.

Zhang Dongsheng also wished that everything could start over, and if he had accepted the divorce honestly, there would not have been a series of murder cases. However, he is overly attached to the things he cherishes and tries his best to hold on to them. But he loses himself, and what he cherishes ultimately destroys him.

The end ends with a final tribute to childhood, and countless people tease that we don't have such a childhood. Indeed, most people's childhood is carefree and full of childishness. But there are others in this world whose childhoods are traumatic, and who have spent their lives healing them. When the choice comes, when the hidden thoughts flow, what will we choose?

Will you choose to believe in fairy tales, or reality?
