Later, he returned to the post of culture and art, as a large-scale art activities of the general planning and general director work. During the period, took a bachelor's degree, not art, but law and Chinese language and literature.

One, and the kite will be associated, directing, planning dozens of (kind of) national, provincial large-scale festival opening and closing ceremonies and large-scale performance activities.

Mr. Yu Ke was associated with the Weifang International Kite Festival in 1984, and he directed the opening ceremony and large-scale cultural and artistic performances of the twelve Weifang International Kite Festivals off and on (in general). On the personal impact it has had, Director Yu Ke said, "In fact, being a director is not as glamorous as the layman imagines, and the suffering we have experienced and the responsibilities we have shouldered are unimaginable to ordinary people."

When the opening ceremony of the fourth Weifang International Kite Festival was held in 1987, there were large square performances such as the "Kite Dance" by 500 people, which initially showed the prototype of modern large-scale group songs and dances.

When the opening ceremony of the fifth Weifang International Kite Festival was held in 1988, the performance time of the opening ceremony was shifted from the daytime to the night. "The main reason was to use the art of lighting to highlight what the director wanted to highlight, and another reason was because of the light to cover up the ugly, although the lighting effect at that time was not as good as it is now, the busy figure during the preparation of the stadium was not so busy as to be noticed by the audience under the light." Director Yu Ke talked humorously.

In 1990, at the opening ceremony of the 7th Weifang International Kite Festival, Yu Ke, as the deputy director, choreographed and directed large-scale ground and air (airplane parachute jumping) performances such as "Ten Thousand Horses Running", "Fairies Descending to the Earth", "One Hundred Children Haunting the Spring", and "___ Stacking Luohan", which initially formed his personal directing style.

In 1991, the eighth Weifang International Kite Festival opening ceremony, Yu Ke invited 90, 91 two sessions of the country's most famous models came to Weifang, Weifang Stadium held a "10,000 Purple and Red is always spring" large-scale fashion song and dance party, this party is divided into "the messenger of spring", "the summer bloom", "autumn style", "winter blessings" in four chapters, into the cast of 5,000 people, the show From the beginning to the end of the model as the main line, based on the four seasons of fashion group song and dance, the scheduling and rendering of large tones, the stadium will create a beautiful red magnificent scene, the evening show was very successful, from that time onwards, basically established the position of the general director of the Yu Ke.

"Weifang in the early 90's is not very developed, at that time modeling for Weifang people should be a very fresh thing, to use models to engage in large group display is even more strange, so, all aspects of great resistance. To be honest, it took me a lot of effort to get over my own hurdle at that time. But as a director must learn to innovate, innovation is our primary task, if a director is not innovative, then his directing career is basically over. So at that time I was also under a lot of pressure and fought for support from all sides, and the final result proved that I was right, because that gala was a great success and widely praised by all walks of life, which also included some people who were fiercely opposed to me in the beginning."

The opening ceremony of the 17th Weifang International Kite Festival, choreographed and directed by Yu Ke in 2000, reached the pinnacle of the art of song and dance for square groups. The theme of that time was "Flying with the New Century" and was divided into five scenes, "Kite Soul", "Kite Love", "Kite Tide", "Ode to the Kite" and "Fly! Weifang" five times, put more than 15,000 actors and actresses, the performance is unfolded from the ancient scroll - 'Flying Totem', 'ancestor Lu Ban', 'God of War Han Xin', 'geeks Banqiao', until the reality of 'silver threads connecting the four seas, kites spread friendship' of the beautiful home, and thus unfolding the blueprint for the development of Weifang. The organic combination of Shandong folk art and Weifang kites, the use of time and space travel and literary accumulation as a backdrop, so that Yu Ke's dream of many years of innovation one by one to show, becoming an important milestone in Mr. Yu Ke's artistic career.

"Of course, from the end of the session, the opening ceremony of the International Kite Festival with large groups of songs and dances as a model is basically over, the opening ceremony began to change into the north-south style of the big stage, the big theater form. Performance programs to big stars, the director of the original elements less, creative design and rehearsal scheduling ten thousand group performances of the queue, the picture is not, the sense of responsibility and bitterness alleviated a lot."

Yu Ke has his own insights when talking about the sweet and sour of being a director: "I think as a director, you must have your own beliefs, no matter in the poorest and lowest times, or the temptation of official positions in the career, you can not give up, and only by persevering, you will succeed." The fact that Mr. Yu Ke was selected as the director of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing Olympic Games proves the result of his persistence over the years. It can be said that the cultural heritage accumulated at the annual Weifang International Kite Festival and his rich directing experience have made him comfortable in controlling all kinds of large-scale scenes.

Second, the bumpy experience of growing up, the accumulation of life's wealth, the achievement of his cultural and artistic creation career.

Mr. Yu Ke is not a formal art "class" origin, after embarking on the road of art, through many storms, and overcame all kinds of difficulties, and ultimately self-education, and became a well-known director.

Yu Ke was born in the provincial authorities in a cadre family, for the memory of 12 years old, he said very happy. 12 years old, the unprecedented movement came, his father decentralized, he also came with the Zhucheng County. In that special era, his father's family originated from the landlord, and capitalist, Yu Ke naturally became the object of transformation. 15 years old to the countryside, and was assigned to the remote mountainous areas of the factory digging latrines, lifting iron, working 12-16 hours a day. During the daytime, adults rolled their eyes and scolded him; at night, rats ran in groups and bullied him ...... Never done heavy work, he could not lift the iron, the master said straighten up the waist can lift, he will drum up no strength waist upward, the iron suddenly splashed, flying down in all directions, from the roof back to his clothes, drilling into his neck, Yu Ke panic in a hurry to shrink the neck, "ZiLa" drilling pain and the smell of burnt meat together, he endured to go to the Destination (at that time, the hands were scattered by the iron in the pots and pans into nothing), which covered the burned neck, ran out to face the open field crying, no one dared to comfort the young him. Yu Ke tone a little heavy, "At that time, I felt like I was the extra person in the world."

Special period, Yu Ke in the factory has done sand turner, lathe worker, iron assayer, political propaganda and many other jobs, do a fine line. A chance opportunity, he participated in the county Mao Zedong Thought literary propaganda team performance. Due to his diligence and good learning, coupled with a strong interest in art and a high degree of talent, he soon showed his head and became a pillar of the literary propaganda team. The pursuit of art trials and tribulations began from then on, he was once admitted to the literature and art soldiers, the political examination did not pass, he cried; and admitted to the Changchun Film Studio actors, the final political examination or take down, he shed tears again. However, Yu Ke has never given up.

Around 1978, because of his outstanding performance, the teacher's recommendation, Yu Ke was transferred to the cultural center work. In the good cultural atmosphere, he took advantage of all possible conditions, night and day to study, and constantly improve their theoretical level. 1982 when the first batch of enrollment of the University of Electricity, Yu Ke was admitted to the Department of Chinese Language and Literature. "Due to the non-off-the-job study, the examination of each course is quite strict, at that time, which city to study together with more than 370 people, three years later can successfully graduate only 13 people, I am one of these 13 people." Mr. Yu Ke said that in the melting pot of the cultural center, he not only drew knowledge of art like crazy, but also studied Chinese language and literature and other aspects of knowledge, so that he step by step to be enriched and perfected.

In embarking on the road of art, there are two teachers he will never forget, the first is Mr. Han Chunyao, who taught the art of drama, and the second is Mr. Pang Baolong, who taught the art of dance. Mr. Han graduated from the Central Academy of Drama in his early years, has a high attainment in theater art. Mr. Pang is the head of the dance section of the Shandong Provincial Qunyi Hall and has extensive practical experience in dance choreography. The devoted teaching of the two gentlemen, their multifaceted and multi-level teaching, strict discipline, and demeanor as a human being, enabled Yu Ke to grow up quickly in terms of artistic knowledge and cultivation, and laid a solid foundation for better improvement of his own artistic level in the future.

But incredibly, Mr. Yu Ke's graduation and degree certificates have nothing to do with art, one is in Chinese language and literature, and the other is in law, and there is no art certificate. But with diligent self-study, the guidance of his mentor, in the early eighties, familiar with the Soviet Union Stanislavski directing system and the Chinese People's Art Jiao Juyin Mr. series of books, so that the road to directing more and more smooth. People who know Yu Ke well say that he is a particularly inspired person, and that his ideas are often unexpected but effective. He smiles and says, "Many people say that I often come up with good ideas in the middle of a conversation, or that I come up with brand new ideas without realizing it. Once or twice, it can be interpreted that way. But for a director, most of the inspiration comes from long-term pondering and thinking, and long-term accumulation of art. Only in this way can the inspiration be instantaneous."
