Filipino Spanish style dance, dance performers were almost monks who adopted the local traditional performance form and performed Spanish dances and various European dances in the monastery or in the plaza. Some people in the Philippines were influenced by them and gradually abandoned the dance tradition and imitated the performance of Spanish dances, thus making the local dances lose their original simplicity and wildness and take on the characteristics of Spanish dances.
