2. Shuimogou District is located in the northeast of Urumqi, Xinjiang. It is one of the four central cities in Urumqi, and it is also the earliest industrial and mining area and scenic tourist area in Urumqi. Urumqi Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government is located in Nanhu East Road, and Shuimogou District has become the political and cultural center of Urumqi.
3. Shuimogou District is located in the southern margin of Junggar Basin, at the northern foot of the western end of Bogda Peak in Tianshan Mountain. At present, the division is bordered by Hongshan Road in the south, Osaka City in the southeast, Shayibak District and Xincheng in the west, and Midong District in the north and east. Shuimogou District, located in the east of Urumqi, is a hilly area with high in the south and low in the north. Shuimogou area belongs to the arid climate zone of the middle temperate continent, with large temperature difference, drastic changes in cold and summer, less precipitation, long winter time and windy spring and autumn.
