Shanghai was no different.
All the magazines and newspapers, whether in Chinese or English, are centered around the theme of these two can never escape, casually turn up a book, see are the same thing, either Obama's dark-skinned face, or the black sky of Wall Street. Only in the minds of Americans, the former represents "hope" and the latter represents "despair" - of course, Obama's opponents do not think so.
The so-called Taoist high foot devil high ten feet, and then big huge waves swept up, there is a flood control wall when. In times like these, China has become a refuge for some adventurers, and Shanghai is the brightest jewel in this shrinking field of refuge.
So Lujiazui is still glittering with color and materialism. The World Financial Center towers in the clouds every day. Lonely to death. Only waiting for the side of the building "Shanghai Center" can be pulled up as soon as possible to lift it alone lonely. So "Shanghai Center" surrounded by the circle of the construction site, like Shanghai's vitality unusually tenacious heartbeat. A block of skyscrapers intermediary, still hurriedly running suits of elites, they use the phone to control the economic lifeline of Shanghai - or rather, Shanghai with a cell phone signal as a wire, control their group of puppets - anything, can be said from two sides. ways.
By the end of 2008, Shanghai still looked like a wildly spinning glass ball, and the honesty of its rapid development looked like a terrifying behemoth. While all foreign tourists were still treating the magnetic levitation train connecting Pudong Airport to the subway as a must-see attraction in Shanghai, Hongqiao Airport Phase II was rising rapidly on a scale far beyond that of Pudong International Airport.
The Hongqiao transportation hub project, a $36 billion Chinese mega-project, is set to become the world's most complex transportation hub. In the area of three Tiananmen squares, there is a concentration of high-speed railroads, magnetic levitation trains, intercity railroads, highway passenger transportation, urban rail transportation, public **** transportation and civil aviation. The whole project is like a huge glowing monster towering over the western part of Shanghai. In the future, people will be quickly transported to all parts of Shanghai from various intestines inside its body cavity. And that's just the tip of the iceberg, with 900 billion dollars of government {investment{ being used as a shot in the arm to fend off the gold {financial{ storm. Newspapers used sensational metaphors to describe the initiative: "The 900 billion yuan investment, if converted into coins, would be enough to make a continuous rain of {coins} that would last for 128 days in the city of Shanghai." Such a depiction once appeared in the U.S. {national {newspaper{ paper, when it was used to depict {Bill{Gates{ wealth.
So when Nan Xiang and I returned to Shanghai again, we didn't find it any different. Perhaps it was because we had been away for only ten days. The Shanghai I saw was still like a black octopus that covered the sky, lying on its back on this seaside territory, covering all the blind people, its wet black tentacles touching every tiny corner of the city.
Unstoppable writhing, like an innate gift of this city.
It was as if nothing had happened. Me, Nan Xiang, Gu Li, and Tang Wanru. The four of us were still nestled affectionately in the living room, the only thing that had changed was that this living room was now a high-class villa in the Jing'an district, not the tiny dormitory room at the school it had been in the beginning
Gu Li was still sipping her Rwandan roast coffee while flipping through the copy of When the Moon Sutra in her hand. Holding a red pen in her hand, she kept circling the passages in the magazine that interested her, with an expression that I remembered from my elementary school classroom teacher correcting her homework.
She took two sips of the coffee and put it on the coffee table with a sad face, "Nanxiang, this is worse than the traditional Chinese medicine you drank when you had menstrual cramps! Rwanda? Do people in that place have a problem with their sense of taste! Their taste buds don't secrete royal jelly all the time, do they? This stuff crying can make a self-confessed bitter little cabbage die alive."
She looked contemptuously at the bag of Rwandan roast coffee sitting next to her, which she had bought from Marks and Spencer, the largest retail company in the UK, which had just moved in on West Nanjing Road. Gu Li's expression at the moment was like looking at Tang Wanru, who was doing yoga with a face mask on, filled with a kind of great pity and want and (------), she seemed to have completely forgotten the smug expression she had on her own brow when she had bought the bag of the stuff back from that new green landmark building.
Nan Xiang asked Gu Li suspiciously as she brushed her hair up and coiled it behind her head, "Didn't Tang Wanru always call herself 'Ruby', when did she change her name to the same as your house maid? And Sister Gu Li, it's just a coffee, you just let the people of Rwanda go, who did they invite and who did they mess with ."
Tang Wanru, who had just struggled to stuff herself into a tight black coat, weakly stood next to Nanxiang, she was always full of a sense of justice, every time Gu Li bullied Nanxiang and I, she would stand up for us.
She sat down slowly with her legs crossed beside Nanxiang (in the process of sitting down, she attempted to mimic the elegant movements of the TV celebrities who cross their legs to prevent them from getting naked, but she lost her balance due to the excessive twisting of her legs, and fell onto the sofa with a thud), but Tang Wanru has one advantage, which is that she is always very calm in any situation.
For example, right now, she is keeping the same posture of falling onto the sofa with a thud, and she is also holding Nanxiang's hand affectionately, sympathetically saying: ''Nanxiang, if you put it that way, your second aunt isn't Rwandan, is she? I've always felt that her skin, tsk, how to say, I this person is just straight to the point, you do not mind ah, I've always felt that your second aunt black too OVER!"
After finishing, but also self-consciously pointing to the Obama on the cover of the Gu Li magazine, regretfully added a sentence: "Enough to catch up with Obama, really. "
Nan Xiang rubbed her temples, sat down next to me, picked up the bottle of champagne in the ice bucket, and poured herself a glass as well, quickly joining me who was already drinking a full glass. I looked at Tang Wanru, who was lying cross-legged on the sofa in an unbelievable position, and Gu Li, who was wearing a dark red PRADA sweater, and giggled.
Nan Xiang and Gu Li looked at the red-faced, giggling me and shook their heads worriedly. And Tang Wanru stared at a point in the living room air with both eyes vacant, no one knew what she was thinking. Seriously, none of us could quite keep up with her jumpy and bizarre train of thought.
I looked at Nan Xiang and Gu Li who were sitting next to me. The two of them looked so beautiful, youthful and sparkling, brilliant and wonderful, like two delicate flowers that gave off fragrance. Tang Wanru next to them was also full of life, looking like a quiet and thriving green iron tree in the sun. As for me, I was wearing a tousled mess of hair that I had just woken up from a nap, and huge dark circles under my eyes, as well as eyes full of red blood veins, like a pile of straw that had been dried out by the astral winds of winter Yes, the three of them were my best friends.
If you know us, you'll know that the woman in front of me with a small CHANNE Jewelry camellia on her head is Gu Li. I love her, but I'm also afraid of her. She's like a giant computer with a solar-powered perpetual motion machine, and in three years of college, she completed a double degree and took first place in her department with all A+'s.
When the teachers at the school brought her a first class scholarship, she probably counted it and then excitedly said, "Yikes, that's a lot, I can buy LUCY a slightly sturdier pair of shoes." Then she threw the thin envelope with the bills into her Longchamp bag. At that moment, I thought that she looked exactly like KATE MOSS on the CITIC Pacific fa?ade advertisement under the flash light, like a noble and snarky black swan.
And the giant computer spews venom out of her mouth at every turn. Last month, for example, she made a 40-something, six-foot-three man sit and bawl in the company lobby area with an entire ten-minute, non-stop, no-expletive-word shame{shaming}. In the end, she also felt too much, so she squatted down, took out her handkerchief to help him wipe his tears, hugged his head, gently and kindly whispered in his ear: "If you want to cry, go home and cry, I'm still at work here, good boy. Don't act like a god, you're an adult." Her eyes are still flickering with warm and moving light
And she was wearing H&M black coat next to Nanxiang, head down, black soft hair coiled on the back of the head, eye-catching and moving eyebrows, flowing with an innate sense of beauty of the moving, her whole face is not always like a layer of ink and rain, Chu Chu moving. Soft and bright. Her slender collarbone, long eyelashes, and pink pudding-like soft lips made her look like a white camellia flower opening in a quiet valley.
Yes, just like the brightly colored camellia flower she pinned to her hair at the moment. Unlike the valuable jewelry on Gu Li's head, the one she wore was a real flower, full of moving fragrance, but easily damaged, quickly fading and fleeting. The jewelry on Gu Li's head, on the other hand, was eternal and overwhelmingly beautiful. This is their biggest difference. My feelings for Nanxiang were not like admiration for Gu Li, but more of a closeness and intimacy. In the more than ten years we've known each other, we shared favorite novels and listened to the same songs; we shopped the same streets and bought the same clothes.
I was shamed [humiliated] by Gu Li every day with her, and then ****ed together with the same shaming . Shame Tang Wanru (------). Our feelings just grew deeper and deeper in such countless days. However, if I were to describe her, I'd really be at a loss for words. Despite being a Chinese major myself, I realized that if I really wanted to tell a clear story about Nan Xiang, I'd have to write a novel thicker than The River of Sadness. In a nutshell, Nanxiang should be considered as the "thin face with a thin life" that we often see in novels.
She doesn't have a distinguished family like Gu Li, or even a well-off family like mine. She's so pretty, but she doesn't have a boyfriend now. The one boyfriend she had in her middle school days was called Xicheng, and after slapping her numerous times, kicking her a few times, and making her pregnant and aborting a child, he dashed off with a pat on the back.
I looked up at Nan Xiang, who well and truly thought she had quickly caught up with me - drunk ------
Tang Wanru, who was squeezing her cleavage in the mirror at the moment, how can I put it, I have always thought that maybe she was the one in the Chinese department, as she often uttered all sorts of let's-get-no-comments-whatsoever She's a classic quote. For example, she was famous in college for the phrase "What's so great about my tits?" I'm not sure what she's talking about. I remember at one of our high school's national day ceremonies, after Nan Xiang and I performed a song and dance drama, after a most elegant and perfect curtain call, we returned backstage and were greeted by Tang Wanru with excitement - of course, with her qualifications, there was no way for her to go on stage and dance, but at most she could barely say a comic song.
At that time, she rushed straight to us, head-butted Gu Li who was carrying water and wanted to hand it to us, and then excitedly grasped Nanxiang's hand, shivering, "Nanxiang! When you guys were jumping and spinning just now, we were particularly excited watching from below! The red panties underneath your skirt were clearly visible to us! Everyone was boiling over!" Gu Li and I quickly raised our hands to hold our foreheads ------ And this isn't the most fatal, the fatal part is that Tang Wanru immediately followed with all the strength of her dantian and yelled at Nan Xiang, "It feels like it echoes the flag flying on the podium and its echoes! What did that song say? Oh yes, 'The blood of the warriors dyed it red!'"
The incident ended with an unusually dramatic ending, in which the phrase "the blood of the warriors dyed it red", together with the previous two descriptions of Nanxiang's underpants, along with the miniature microphones on Nanxiang's chest that Nanxiang and I hadn't yet taken off, spread all over the school playground and the entire student body, echoing continuously.
After the ceremony, Nanxiang took a three-day sick leave --- and came to class on the fourth day wearing a mask.
After that, we could always hear such conversations in school, whether it was the steamed buns in the school cafeteria revealing weird red blood for some unknown reason, or the red underwear peeking out from the English teacher's white shirt, or the brilliant clouds in the evening sky, or the hated red English book covers, everyone's explanation for all these things, was " Soldiers' blood stained it red."
On top of that, RuRu is exceptionally brave, not afraid to die, and daring to do anything. Including the last time in the Chambers drunk, pull open Gu Li Kenzo bag, careful not to move to vomit in the face, after vomiting, but also as if nothing happened to the zipper, with us to continue to sing, it seems that just now everything did not happen. (Of course, afterward, Gu Li locked her in the toilet and didn't feed her for the whole day.) Another time when she had a fever and went to buy medicine on the street, she somehow walked into Watsons next door to the drugstore, went straight to the Neutrogena counter, and rushed to the mask seller and said with her heart breaking, "Give me the medicine~Give me the medicine~I think I'm going to die!" At that time, the counter lady almost dialed 110 ------
Of course, around us naturally also less make up for the handsome boys, to Gu Li and Nanxiang's qualifications, no matter what the handsome man can be chopped down to the horse, I can also randomly pick a fall dizzy. People always say that if you surround yourself with good friends, others will think you're good too. I've always used this reasoning to convince myself why my boyfriend, who seems to be pretty good at what he does, is not bad.
Gu Li has a male son who loves her ironically, Gu Yuan, even though the name sounds like her brother. If our lives were a soap opera, then there is a chance that Gu Yuan will be revealed in the future that he turns out to be related to Gu Li, and so the lover's soul is scattered. Of course, this is not a novel written by Qiong Yao, and Gu Li and Gu Yuan are not Liu Xuehua and Ma Jingtao, so such a thing could never happen.
And Nan Xiang, another soulful man called Xicheng has been haunting her for years. Yes, if you still have some knowledge of our lives, then, ten days ago, I was the one who jumped on the train after Nan Xiang, and then ran into this ghost-like man. I hated him so much at the time .
And Tang Wanru, who had an unbelievably subtle chemistry with Wei Hai, the muscular hunk of our school. Gu Li and I didn't want to make any comments on this.
At the moment, I was sipping champagne, curled up on the sofa, my eyes as red as the criminals who had just finished massacring the tourists on the West Nanjing Road. I was laughing while looking at my three best friends in front of me with an expression similar to crying, and if there was a mirror in front of me right now, I would definitely see my expression and its distortion.
I looked at Nan Xiang and Gu Li in front of me, they were standing in the mirror money, Gu Li was helping Nan Xiang tie the strand of hair that ran out to the back of her head. They were whispering, looking like two close and good friends. And Tang Wanru was lying on the sofa, looking at them with an expression that seemed to be a smile or not a smile, that kind of expression I have never seen on her face, I think with Tang Wanru's intelligence, she is not enough to have a face with such a deep expression with a complex heart. She softly said to them, "I'm so happy to see you two like this. You've really made up."
I was drunkenly crooked on the couch, in a trance of the scene before me and its horrors in the constant champagne fumes around me. Two gorgeous women, affectionately combing their hair in front of a mirror, and another thing of some contraption lying across the couch humming. It felt like watching the movie Painted Skin. I even felt like Gu Li and Nan Xiang, at any moment and ripped their skins off, and then in incredibly demonic voices, one said, 'I'm a demon." The other said, "I don't eat human hearts, they get old."
I think I must be drunk.
And, you wouldn't believe the state of our lives with each other, just under a month before the four of us were so intimately gathered under one roof. It was completely beyond any dog and pony soap opera, or the imaginary world of a psychopath's mind. Our lives were like one big explosion after another, more exciting than any Hollywood action movie. Flesh and blood flying, broken pieces, souls blown up into the sky to float haphazardly, alone, for a thousand years.
My boyfriend, while dating me, kissed and slept with another woman, and at the end of the day accused me of stealing; Gu Li and Nan Xiang, who secretly shared the same man with each other; Nan Xiang, who rolled up over a hundred thousand dollars in cash and tricked me into fleeing on the train for a whole ten days; and my new love, Chongguang, who has terminal cancer is about to drive me crazy.
Of course, these are just the tip of the iceberg.
Wait for the day when the tide goes out, when you see the continent with the entire surface of the sea exposed, and you realize how many corpses and broken bones there are, exposed to the light of day.
And right now, a blue ocean that looks so good.
Just as I couldn't pour any more wine from the champagne bottle, Gu Li and Nan Xiang came towards me, one of them sat down beside me, and Gu Li said, "You go take a shower for me now
I shook my head and said, "I'm too drunk to walk."
Gu Li frowned, and as he snatched the cup from my hand and put it on the coffee table, he said, "Can't you smell it on you? You now smell like a tuna fish that died in the men's restroom for five days," she paused, then added, "and then fished out after being put in a kimchi jar for another three days!"
Nan Xiang attempted to pull me up from the sofa, "Lin Xiao, you haven't bathed in four days, what do you want? I was tugged by Nan Xiang, I felt dizzy and nauseous and was about to vomit, I glanced down at Gu Li's LV bag that was placed on the sofa, before I could react, Gu Li quickly grabbed her bag and threw it far away from her to the other end of the sofa, she looked at me fiercely and said "You don't want to ruin my LV with your vomit just like Tang Wanru did! I, Gu Li, won't be able to trip on the same stone twice! " After saying that She turned back and saw Tang Wanru who was hastily wiping the LV bag she threw over with a napkin---Tang Wanru held her chest and said in shock, "I'm not to blame, it was you who threw the bag over and it happened to hit the champagne in my hand. People are still in shock!"
I saw the look on Gu Li's face, as if he had swallowed that fish alive that had been dead in the men's room for five days, and I laughed out loud again. I felt like a child.
Nan Xiang and Gu Li pulled and threw me into the bathroom.
The nozzle was turned on and it was spraying water down with a clatter. I was still a drunken lunatic, crying, fussing and laughing. One moment I was crouching on the floor, the next I was shaking my head and standing up. I got both Gu Li and Nan Xiang wet as well. Their hair was soaked through and wet against their faces. Finally Gu Li couldn't stand it anymore, grabbed my hair and threw her hand to give me a heavy slap.
"Lin Xiao you're damn enough! When my father died, I wasn't dying like you!"
I looked at the wet Gu Li in front of me, even in such a sorry state, the makeup on her face was still dainty, the waterproof cosmetics made her look like an exquisite dummy at all times. I leaned against the wall, pointed at her, and said, "Yeah, you didn't cry, how NB you were! The night your dad died you were reading his will by warm candlelight, what a great image, it should be framed and hung on the wall and called 'Gu's Filial Daughter Picture'. How I want to be like you! To be a forever immortal specimen soaked in formalin" You're impervious to all poisons, you're golden, you're the Goddess of Liberty standing on Manhattan Island holding a torch!" I wiped the tears running down my eyes and said to Guly, "Are you satisfied? But I'm not you, I can't do it!"
The overhead jets were pouring a steady stream of hot water downward, and the three of us stood underneath it, our heads covered by the hot, intense yellow light cast by the shower rod, illuminating each of our skin to perfection, like girlish and delicate. The constant steam of hot air made the whole bathroom so dense that it felt surreal.
It was as if we were standing in a sad downpour, and all the rain was like hot tears, pouring over us continuously. Gu Li wiped the water on her face, took off her coat, turned around and threw it into the laundry basket next to her with force. Then screwed open the door and walked out of the bathroom. Her back without a word was like another slap in my face.
Nan Xiang came over and hugged me. We both stood under the shower with our clothes on.
The sound of running water on the floor mosaic clattered in my ears. I closed my eyes, refusing to believe this was reality. I repeatedly hypnotized myself that this was a dream. I hoped that when I opened my eyes, I would turn back the clock to four days ago.
This time four days ago, I felt like my life had never been happier.
Four days ago
Many times, I felt like Gu Li was a madman who could do anything.
For example, a second ago, I felt that my life was over, and that I was bound to be in deep shit from now on. One second later, Gu Li made me feel like I was standing at the door of heaven (I don't mean that I'm dead, of course) with a phone call, and the world of happiness opened up to me.
On the phone, Gu Li told me that she had completely solved Nan Xiang's matter. I can go back to Shanghai with Nanxiang and we don't have to go to the end of the world anymore. Then Gu Li, through a series of complicated arrangements, turned this horrible escape into a vacation where Nanxiang and I hid in Nanjing. Beijing hot springs for a vacation---Nanxiang and I had nothing to do all day, except not to contact the outside world to expose our whereabouts, we hid in the hot springs hotel, ate, drank, pooped, and beautified . Slimming. We ate, drank, pooped, beautified and slimmed our bodies, and occasionally made eye contact with the handsome young man who delivered the fruit. (Though on the third day, the handsome young man treated us like sisters in arms, sharing with us how much he had just broken up with his heartless boyfriend
Knowing that we could go back to Shanghai the next day, I was in such a good mood that it was a bit surreal, and so I impulsively invited Gu Li to join us: "Gu Li, why don't you come to Nanjing too? driver to pick us up and take us back to Shanghai, why don't you come to the hotel and run the hot springs with us tonight?" Nan Xiang shook her head heartily beside me when I was in the middle of my sentence.
Gu Li's silver-bell-like laughter coming from the phone gave me a quick insight into Nan Xiang's mood, "Yo, heh heh heh--I say Lin Xiao, well--of course, first of all, I'd like to thank you for inviting me, but how can I say this, I'm usually not too much involved in this kind of poor man's vacation. You have to know that the last time Gu Yuan took me to Japan to soak in a hot spring, I didn't give him a good look for a month when I came back, so let's not mention Nanjing. By the way, although that hotel of yours is claimed to be a five-star one, I checked online, hey, how can I put it, these days it's bitter for you two---but, how can I put it, thank you for inviting me."
I was humiliated by Gu Li, but I was in such a good mood that it was unreal, so I insisted on inviting her over. As I kept repeating my invitation for her to join us in the hot springs, Nan Xiang had a very heavy expression next to me, the same expression she had whenever she watched the Chinese New Year Gala.
But there are miracles in this world. After I insisted on talking to her on the phone for 37 minutes, saying the same sentence over and over again, "You must come here," she happily joined us on our spa trip. I think it's a big sacrifice for Gu Li, who in Shanghai wouldn't even venture out to the inner ring road. Even to go to the Pudong Lujiazui stock exchange center, she has been with a very jian expression said "Pudong air, no matter when it smells, it does not look like a place to live. Why the surrounding Pudong residents didn't kill her on the spot is a mystery.
But less than a minute after hanging up the phone, my smug expression froze on my face as my cell phone screen displayed a text message from Gu Li: "Tang Wanru is coming with me."
Nan Xiang and I looked at each other for a moment before grabbing the red wine beside us without a word and tilting our heads back to close it. We both looked like we were rapidly getting ourselves drunk.
Guly hung up the phone a bit before continuing to wander around the big box store.
Yeah, you guys weren't wrong. She was indeed shopping in a big box store. But then, there were only two such hypermarkets in Shanghai. One is on the negative floor of Times Square and the other is on the negative floor of Jiu Guang Department Store. There is not a single Chinese character on the packaging of the goods inside, the whole package in English, Japanese and French, with a small sticky paper label printed in Chinese. A small box of lettuce, which sells for a few cents at the market, is labeled 19.40 yuan inside. Such a supermarket is usually so cold that there is hardly anyone there. It looks like a scribble. There are always more clerks than customers.
And right now, Gu Li was in this supermarket in Times Square.
She picked up a box of 12 small tomatoes, looked at the price of $44.50 on it, and gently dropped it into her shopping basket.
The assistant next to her, Blue Dictator, said to her, "Your brother Neil called me to ask you out to dinner, and you happen to have no plans for lunch, so I'll get back to him now if you'd like."
"Why didn't she just call me?" Gu Li asked.
"Just now you've been on the phone and he couldn't call in." Blue Decision replied.
"Oh, then tell him it's okay, let him let me know when he's set a place, I'll be right over to him." Gu Li took a celery and examined it (---), then added, "Why don't you come with me, it's too stressful for me to face this ancestor alone."
"Okay." Blue Decision picked up the phone and started calling Neil back.
Guly turned back to continue looking at the fresh vegetables in the open-shelf cooler. She was just about to pick up a box of salad when she was blinded by the flash.
Gu Li looked back and saw a young man smiling apologetically at himself as he was taking a picture of his girlfriend.
Guly relented, squirming back. While the price of a small box of small tomatoes here could buy a hill's worth of them at a farmer's market, at the end of the day, this was just a supermarket.
"Is it necessary to make a souvenir in a supermarket?!"
After Blue Decision finished his call, he looked at Gu Li, who had his back turned, then took out his cell phone and composed a text message and sent it. "I'll come later. : )"
And as the saying goes, things come in packs.
Two crazy people in Shanghai, one Gu Li and one Gu Yuan. Both are in such a haunted place at the moment.
Gu Yuan had been at the supermarket underneath the Jiu Guang Department Store, consistently dropping a lot of Japanese candies and tea into his shopping basket.
While he hesitated to buy a box of 299 pieces of xylitol gum from Japan, the phone rang and Gu Li called. He picked it up and had just said a couple of words when he heard the sound of a shutter clicking beside him. A little puzzled, he turned back to see a young man awkwardly putting down the camera in his hand. Gu Yuan raised his eyebrows and made a "why are you taking pictures" face, the other man smiled awkwardly and said after a short pause, "We are from a modeling agency, sir, you are particularly photogenic, are you interested in modeling?"
Gu Yuan waved his hand and turned to continue talking to Gu Li on the phone.
Neil drove his little sports car towards Julu Road. He had booked the restaurant for dinner.
Crossing the intersection, he had been reading a text message on his cell phone, and the smile on his face had barely disappeared when his eyes were suddenly dazzled by flashing lights.
"No way? Such bad luck? I just got caught on camera running a red light?"
Neil looked back at the intersection a little glumly, it was clearly green, weird.
When it was still dark in the evening, Nan Xiang and I saw Gu Li's black car at the entrance of the hotel. The black car with her, and the cumulonimbus-like Ru Ru, got off. But I don't know why, but Ru Ru looked very ethereal today.
The hot spring gathering that night was completely turned into a group comedy because of Tang Wanru's joining.
In the open-air hot spring at night, Nan Xiang and Gu Li were secluded in the water. They had their hair pulled back into an extremely beautiful bun, and were submerged in the water from the shoulders down, their clear collarbones hidden in the mist. With the rockery and waterfall behind them, and the graceful flowers and plants, I really felt that the two of them were as beautiful as heavenly fairies, just like Bai Suzhen and Xiaoqing who practiced in Emei Mountain.
And Tang Wanru beside me, a white towel roughly bundled on top of her head, wrapped like a Shaanxi strong man, she was lying on all fours on a rock, a waterfall falling vertically above her head, clattering and smashing on her chest, splashing (---), while she was lying under the waterfall motionless and closed her eyes to rest her mind---such a scene really look at me worried.
Midway through, Nan Xiang and Gu Li asked for champagne, a wooden bucket floating on the water surface, the bucket filled with ice cubes, a bottle of champagne stuck in the ice cubes. Nan Xiang and Gu Li elegantly poured the wine, and placed four tall glasses on a flat wooden floating plate, gently pushing them around on the surface of the water. The two of them moved with so much grace and serenity that it made my heart pound as a woman to watch.
Not to mention the fact that I had Tang Wanru, a Shaanxi strongman, by my side. She sighed to me while pouring water on herself with a towel clattering like she was taking a bath in a bathhouse, "Look at the two of them, they are so elegant and charming, like two swans. In contrast the two of us are like two beaver rats soaking in hot water."
I stretched out my index finger and shook it, said, "You are you, I am me, there is no we." After I said that I gently took the floating tray that Nan Xiang pushed over to me and took down a glass of champagne, sipping it just as gracefully.
Tang Wanru looked so happy that she struggled and lunged towards the bucket, also took a glass from the floating tray, stood in the hot spring pool in a weird position, tilted her head back and sipped hard, then daintily pushed that champagne-filled bucket back to Gu Li.
After Tang Wanru's gentle push, the bucket tipped over with a thud, and the glass, with wine and ice, tipped over and sank under the water.
There are a few more paragraphs in the back, word limit, I can't post them OTZ.
