Yang Mi was born in the fall of 1986 in Beijing's Xuanwu District (which has been incorporated into the new Xicheng District of Beijing) to Yang Xiaolin, a civilian police officer, and Yang Chunling, a full-time housewife. She was named Yang Mi because all three members of her family have the surname Yang, which is the third power of Yang (the result of multiplying a square in math is called a power).
Yang Mi is a local Beijing hutong girl from the southern city of Beijing, whose family lived near Ox Street when she was a child, and she was good at table tennis, badminton, swimming and ice skating. When she was a child, she was naughty, and while other kids learned piano, dance and calligraphy, she couldn't be bothered to learn anything.
Then China Children's Film Studio held a training course for children's film and television performances, Yang Mi's parents took her to enroll with the mindset of participating in a try, and the result was that the under-age Yang Mi was admitted by the enrollment teacher.
Yang Mi's elementary school years were spent at the Xuanwu Experimental Primary School in Beijing (which no longer exists), where she did relatively well in her studies, and was class president from the first to the third grade. At the same time, Yang Mi was also a girl with a strong sense of justice, and in her concept doing wrong should be punished.
She would be the first to fight when her friends were bullied, which earned her the nickname "Little Awesome" among her neighbors and friends. She likes to play games and is a bit of a rebel in character. When she was in middle school, she had the experience of "fixing" the male students who bullied the girls.
