The Ditan Temple Fair, which has been held since 1985, is one of the oldest temple fairs in Beijing. 2008, which coincided with the Year of the Rat, was the first time that the Ditan Spring Festival Cultural Temple Fair openly solicited for a mascot. In the end, the "Lucky Rat" with four copper coins became the mascot of the Ditan Temple Fair for the first time. Now, the temple mascot to the community open call has been 12 years, the shape of the mascot has become a highlight of the Ditan Temple Fair.

This year is the Year of the Pig, so the mascots were designed with the Year of the Pig in mind.

The mascots that can be seen at the Ditan Temple Fair were selected online in the year. Shanghai writer Xiao Bing's design, "Huanhuan, the Golden Pig," won the grand prize at the time. Now there is a lot of discussion about the mascot online! The production of the project is also open to the community to solicit, and then by the expert judges, visitor representatives, the temple fair organizing committee composed of a jury to select the finalist mascot design; after the expert review, scoring, calculation; and comprehensive public WeChat voting support results, finalized.

The "Golden Pig Huanhuan" wears a red traditional Chinese costume with a pattern of the word "Fu" and carries a small drum with the word "Fu" written on its back. It tilts its head and smiles happily, showing a cheerful drumming posture.
