1, lying on the ice to seek carp
Wang Xiang of the Jin Dynasty, lost his mother at an early age, his stepmother Zhu did not raise him, often in front of his father to say Wang Xiang's right and wrong. As a result, he lost the love of his father, who always made him clean the cowshed. When his parents were sick, he was so busy taking care of them that he didn't even have time to undo his belt.
One winter, his stepmother Zhu was sick and wanted to eat carp, but because of the freezing water, he could not catch it, so Wang Xiang lay naked on the ice, and suddenly the ice melted, and out of the cracks leapt two carp, which Wang Xiang was so happy about, that he brought them back to serve his stepmother.
When Wang Xiang was worried, dozens of yellow finches flew into his bird net, and he was so happy that he used them to serve his stepmother again. His action was a good story in the countryside. People praised Wang Xiang as a rare filial son on earth. There is a poem that says: stepmother on earth, Wang Xiang the world no; to this day, on the river, left lying ice mold.
2, Zi Lu negative rice
Zhong Yu is the Zhou Dynasty, Spring and Autumn period of the State of Lu people, the word Zi Lu. He was very filial to his parents. He grew up in a poor family and was very thrifty. He often ate ordinary wild vegetables and ate very badly. Zhongyu thought it was okay for him to eat wild vegetables, but he was afraid that his parents did not have enough nutrition and were not in good health, so he was very worried.
There was no rice in the house, so in order for his parents to eat rice, he had to walk a hundred miles to buy rice, and then carry the rice on his back to rush back home to feed his parents. A hundred miles is a very long way to travel, and maybe nowadays some people can do it once or twice. But to do so regularly throughout the year was extremely difficult. However, Zhong Yu was willing to do so. In order to make sure that his parents could eat rice, he went out of his way to buy rice a hundred miles away, no matter how cold it was, and carried it back home.
In the winter, when it was very cold and icy, Zhong Yu walked on the ice on the river with goose feather snow on his face, slipping step by step, and his feet were frozen. When his hands were too cold to hold the rice bag, he stopped and put it to his mouth to warm it up, and then continued on his way.
Summer, the sun is hot, sweaty, Zhongyu do not stop to rest for a while, just to be able to go home early to make delicious meals for their parents; encountered a heavy rain, Zhongyu will be the rice bag hidden in their own clothes, preferring to wet themselves rather than not let the heavy rain to the rice bag; the wind is even more not to worry about.
It was not easy to be so hard and persistent.
Then Zhong Yu's parents both passed away, and he traveled south to the state of Chu. The king of Chu hired him as an official and gave him very generous treatment. Whenever he went out, he was followed by hundreds of carriages, and he was given a very large salary every year. The food he ate was very rich, and every day he had a lot of delicacies from the mountains and the sea. They lived a life of abundance.
But he did not rejoice because of the good material conditions, but sighed from time to time. Because his parents were no longer alive. How he wished his parents were alive to live a good life with him; but they were gone, and even if he wanted to carry rice a hundred miles away to feed his parents again, it would never be possible.
3. Tasting the medicine
Liu Heng, Emperor Wen of the Han Dynasty, was the third son of Emperor Gaozu of the Han Dynasty and was born to Empress Dowager Bo. He was born to Empress Dowager Bo, and became emperor in the eighth year of the reign of Empress Gao (180 BC). He was known for his filial piety and never slacked off in serving his mother. When his mother was sick for three years, he often did not see her eyes or wear her clothes; he tasted the medicine she took before letting her take it.
He reigned for 24 years, emphasizing the rule of morality, etiquette, attention to the development of agriculture, so that the Western Han Dynasty social stability, prosperity, economic recovery and development, he and the reign of Emperor Jingdi of the Han Dynasty is known as the "rule of Wenjing".
4. Engaged in finger pain
Zeng Sen, the word ZiYi, Spring and Autumn Period, Lu people, Confucius's favorite disciple, the world known as "Zeng Zi", known for filial piety. When he was a young man, his family was poor and he used to go into the mountains to fetch firewood. One day, when there was a guest in the house, his mother, not knowing what to do, bit her finger with her teeth. Suddenly, Zeng Sen felt his heart ache and knew that his mother was calling him, so he quickly returned home with the firewood on his back and knelt down to ask the reason. His mother said, "A guest has suddenly arrived, and I am biting my finger in anticipation of your return."
Zeng Sen then received the guest and treated him with courtesy. Zeng Sen was a learned man, and once proposed the method of cultivating oneself, which is "I save myself three times a day" ("Analects - Xue而"). It is said that he wrote Confucian classics such as The Great Learning and The Book of Filial Piety, and was honored by Confucians in later times as "Zong Sheng" (宗圣).
5, wen Lei sobbing tomb
Wang裒, the Wei and Jin Dynasties Yingling (now southeast of Shandong Changle), learned and versatile. His father, Wang Yi, was killed by Sima Zhao, and he lived in seclusion to teach as a profession, and never sat facing the west, indicating that he would never be a minister of Jin. His mother was afraid of thunder when she was alive and was buried in the mountains after her death.
Whenever he heard the sound of thunder in stormy weather, he ran to his mother's grave, knelt down and comforted her, saying, "The rich son is here, mother don't be afraid." When he was teaching, whenever he read the chapter of Polygonum, he often burst into tears and missed his parents.
