I personally am more inclined to think that the conflict between the elderly square dancers and the residents is more likely to come from a difference in perception between the two sides about whether or not it is a nuisance and what constitutes a nuisance, because of the vast differences in lifestyles and living environments.
Today's square dancers, whether from rural areas or small and medium-sized cities, are in a highly collectivized environment at the most critical age in their lives when they are acquiring and forming social customs.
The DJs have a great deal to offer.
