The Hymn
It was created in 1964 by Hu Songhua, who was commissioned by Premier Zhou and the Grand Song and Dance Command of "The East is Red" to write the lyrics and arrange the music overnight. This "Hymn" is one of the works of the large-scale dance epic "The East is Red", and is also one of Hu Songhua's masterpieces. The music is the original first half of the four "no words new long tune" and the latter part of the "pluralistic short folk song" between the new "marriage combination" of singing.

Creation Background:
In 1964, under the personal leadership of Premier Zhou, the creation of the large-scale music and dance epic "The East is Red" was completed. The Oriental Red was a 3,000-strong performance team, and the birth of the Hymn was one of the many stories in the Oriental Red convention.
"The East is Red" sixth "Great Festival" was a pure dance program, to enhance the celebratory atmosphere to congratulate the birth of a new China, Premier Zhou decided to add a tenor solo in the first part of the sixth, preferably using the Mongolian music style at the same time with the dance accompanied by song.
