In this era of national fitness, the most suitable for young and old, and the simplest and most persistent aerobic exercise is not track and field, that is, we say running. Whether it's the morning of the rising sun or the evening of the sunset and dusk, you can always see a lot of running dashing figure.
Athletics has always been known as the mother of all sports. In ancient times, in order to survive, humans had to walk or run long distances every day, jumping over ravines and other natural obstacles, chasing animals, gathering fruit, and fighting wildlife with rocks and branches. Over time, people repeated these actions, which formed the beginnings of athletics, with various life skills such as walking, running, jumping and throwing.
With the further development of human society, wars grew in scale. In order to train soldiers who had the courage and physique to fight, walking, running, jumping and throwing had become the main means of training armies, and competitions were gradually formed in these events. Since then, a variety of athletic fields, equipment and devices have followed. With the development of generation after generation, track and field was listed as an official sport in the first Olympic Games in 1896, and nowadays the development is more and more growing, and received a lot of attention.
Today the Olympics now has a world record 80 outdoor track and field events and 41 official events. There are three major world events:the Olympic Games, the World Cup track and field since 1977 and the World Athletics Championships since 1983. The sprints are 100, 200 and 400 meters, the middle and long-distance runs are 800, 1500, 3000, 5000 and 10,000 meters, and the marathon around the world is 42 kilometers.
