Lyrics

A big river with wide waves

The wind blows rice flowers on both sides of the river

My family lives on the bank

I'm used to listening to the boatman's horn

I'm used to seeing the white sails on the boat

A big river with wide waves

The wind blows rice flowers on both sides of the river

My family lives on the shore

I'm used to hearing the boatman's call

I'm used to seeing white sails on boats

This is the beautiful motherland

This is where I grew up

On this vast piece of land

There's a bright landscape everywhere

Girls look like flowers

Little boys are so broad-minded Broad

To open up new horizons

Wake up the sleeping mountains

Make that river change its shape

This is the heroic motherland

This is the place where I grew up

On this ancient land

Youthfulness is everywhere

Good mountains, good water, good places

All roads are broad. All roads are wide

Friends come with good wine

If that jackal comes

It's greeted with a shotgun

This is the mighty motherland

It's where I grew up

On this warm land

There's the sunshine of peace everywhere
