Prometheus, the Titan god, stole fire from the sky and gave it to mankind, who learned how to use it. Zeus, the god of the gods, was very annoyed, and in order to offset the great benefits that fire brought to mankind, Zeus decided to let the disaster also come to earth. Zeus (Zeus) first ordered the fire and craftsmen God Hephaestus (Hephaestus), the use of water and earth synthetic churning, in accordance with the image of the goddess to make a lovely female; and then ordered the love and beauty of God Aphrodite (Aphrodite) drenched in hormones that make men crazy; wisdom of the goddess of war, Athena (Athena) to teach her to weave, creating a variety of colors and colors of the beautiful clothes weaving and Spirit Joe Wisdom, who made the woman look more colorful and attractive; Hermes, the divine messenger, who taught her the gift of language. After the gods had given her all the gifts, a complete woman was born. The gods clothed her with a rabbit hat and beads, and she was as beautiful as a bride. Hamish came up with the idea, "Call this woman Pandora, a gift from the gods to mankind." The gods agreed with his suggestion. In Ancient Greek, Pan means "all" and Dora means "gift". "Pandora" means "the one who has been granted all virtues."
Zeus then ordered Hermes to bring her to Epmetheus, the brother of Prometheus, to become his wife. Epmetheus, unlike Prometheus, was foolish by nature, and Prometheus counseled him, "If Zeus sends you anything never accept it." But Epimetheus was originally stupid, plus the temptation of Pandora, immediately enamored of beauty, forget Prometheus account, happy to accept the gift of Zeus.
It is said that Prometheus once warned his brother not to accept any gift from Zeus on Mount Olympus, but to return it immediately. But Epimetheus forgot this warning and gladly accepted the beautiful young woman. It was not until later, when he suffered, that he realized that he had invited disaster. Until then, mankind had followed Prometheus' warning, and thus there were no plagues, no hard labor, and no torturous diseases. Now the girl held her gift in both hands, which was a large tightly closed box. As soon as she came up to Epimetheus, she suddenly opened the lid of the box, and the disaster within flew out like a black smoke, spreading rapidly over the ground. At the bottom of the box lay the only good thing: hope, but Pandora, in accordance with the admonition of the father of the gods, hastened to close the lid before it flew out, so that hope was shut up in the box forever. From that time on, all kinds of disasters filled the earth, the sky and the sea. Diseases spread and raged among mankind day and night, but silently, for Zeus would not let them make a sound. Fever of all kinds ran rampant on the earth, and death ran wildly through the earth with a flying gait.
One says that Pandora then lived with Epimetheus. Soon afterward, Prometheus brought Epimetheus a large chest with instructions that it must not be opened, but Pandora, a curious woman, thought, "Why should an ordinary chest be hidden so secretly? And so heavily covered, why on earth?" While Epimetheus was out, Pandora cracked open the chest. It turned out to contain not what Pandora was expecting, but countless plagues and pests. Before Pandora opened the chest, mankind did not have any plagues and lived a peaceful life; that was because all the viral maladies were kept in the chest so that mankind could be spared. Due to Pandora's curiosity and ignorance, the plagues escaped happily, and from then on, the plagues victimized mankind day and night and everywhere, causing them to suffer.
In panic, Pandora covered the great chest in time, and as a result only hope was left inside. Therefore, even though human beings are constantly suffering and being tormented by life, there is always a precious hope left in their hearts in order to motivate themselves. Before death, hope always exists and life is absolutely full of good hope.
There is also the story that Zeus gave Pandora a sealed box full of woes, disasters, plagues, etc. to give to the man who married her. Prometheus, convinced that Zeus did not mean well for mankind, warned his brother Epimetheus not to accept Zeus' gift. But he disobeyed and married the beautiful Pandora. Driven by curiosity, Pandora opened the box, and immediately all the disasters, plagues and scourges inside flew out. From then on, mankind suffered from disasters, plagues and scourges. And the goddess of wisdom Athena in order to save the fate of mankind and quietly placed in the box at the bottom of the beautiful things "hope" has not yet had time to fly out of the box, the cunning Pandora on the box closed.
After that, Pandora's Box was used as a metaphor for a gift that brings misfortune and a source of disaster.
Such a bad thing! Will you open it if you get it?
