In the seventh year of Tianbao in the Northern Qi Dynasty (556 AD), the county seat was moved here, and it has been used by successive generations, with a history of more than 1,400 years. Because the commune was located in Chengguan, Gaoyi, it was named Chengguan Commune. In 1996, when the township was merged into the town, it was changed to Gaoyi Town. During the Anti-Japanese War, this area belonged to District 1. After the liberation of Gaoyi in 1945, Chengguan Town was built here. When the district was withdrawn to establish townships in 1953, four natural villages were set aside to build Houjiazhuang Township, while the rest still belonged to Chengguan Town. When the people's commune was implemented in 1958, it belonged to Gaoyi Commune and was divided into Beiguan District and Nanguan District. In 1961, the size of the commune was reduced, and Chengguan Commune was built here. It was changed to Gaoyi Town in 1984. [Evolution] According to research, after the "King of Yan swept the north" in the Ming Dynasty, the Han family was the first to move here from Hongdong County, Shanxi to occupy property and establish a village. Because there is Western Korea in the west and Donghan in the east (the site is east of Macun Village and north of Zhaocun Village), the village was moved to the center, so it was named "Zhonghan" after the surname. Han's memory has been lost, but the village name is still used. During the Anti-Japanese War, this area belonged to the third district. After liberation in 1945, Hecun District was built here. In 1953, the district was withdrawn to build villages, and Zhonghan Township, Hecun Township, and Xujiazhuang Township were built here. [Evolution] According to research, in the second year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1404), the Guo family moved here from Hongdong County, Shanxi to build a village. Because the village is low-lying and has a large area, like a large trench, the village was named Wankeng Village. At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Wankeng Village was changed to Wancheng Village. After that, the population of the village gradually increased, and in the 17th year of the Republic of China (1928 AD), Wancheng Village was renamed Wancheng Town. During the Anti-Japanese War, this area belonged to the fourth district. Land reform was carried out in 1947, a mutual aid group was established in 1952, and Wancheng Township was established in 1953 when the district was withdrawn to establish a township, with jurisdiction over 6 natural villages. The primary cooperative was established in 1954, and the advanced cooperative was established in 1956. When the people's commune was implemented in 1958, the Wancheng People's Commune was built with jurisdiction over 46 natural villages.
At the end of 1958, it was merged into Gaoyi People's Commune and belongs to Wancheng Management Area. In 1961, the scale was reduced and 13 natural villages were set aside to restore the Wancheng People's Commune. In 1984, it was changed to Wancheng Township. The Liang family was the first to move from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province to occupy the property and establish a village. Therefore, it was the place where Fangfang County established a prison during the Warring States Period. The village occupies the west side, so it was named Xijian Village based on its location. "Jian" and "Jian" have the same pronunciation, and later evolved into Xisuga Village. In the 17th year of the Republic of China (1928 AD), County Magistrate Yang Jilong changed Xisugun Village to Xifu Village. During the Anti-Japanese War, this area belonged to the fourth district.
