Introduction to latte art

Jingxing Lahua is a northern yangge. It was formed and spread in Jingxing Mining District and Jingxing County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province. It is one of the three outstanding folk dances in Hebei Province. It originated from folk festivals, temple fairs, celebrations, and flower parties in street squares when worshiping gods. There are records as early as the "Yuanhe County Chronicles" written in the eighth year of Yuanhe in the Tang Dynasty. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, Jingxing Lahua has been further explored, inherited, reformed and developed, making it famous throughout the country and overseas.

There are many legends about Jingxing Lahua. It is said that lahua is a dance formed during the transportation of peonies, so it is called "lahua"; it is also said that lahua is a dance formed during the escape from famine, and "lahua" is the homophony of "lahua"; it is also said that lahua is a dance formed during the transportation of peonies. The female character in the flower dance is called "Lahua" and is named Lahua, etc. Later generations believed that the rugged roads in Jingxing Mountain made it inconvenient for people to walk. Women in ancient times had small feet and needed help from men when they left. Women were known as "flowers". It makes sense that the folk dance formed at this time was called "Lahua".

Although Jingxing Lahua belongs to the category of Yangko, it has its own distinctive characteristics. She uses movements such as "shaking shoulders", "turning wrists", "twisting arms", "sucking legs" and "throwing feet" as her main dance vocabulary, forming a unique artistic style that combines hardness and softness, and is rough and thoughtful. She dances with strong postures, generous stretches, generous bends and extensions, and rapid changes in ups and downs. She is good at expressing the emotions of tragedy, nostalgia, love, and progress. The number of people performing traditional Jingxing latte art is six or twelve, which means "six springs come together". The actors hold props in their hands, each with its own symbol: an umbrella - good weather; a baggage (not much used nowadays) - plenty of food and clothing; a flat plate and a whip - - peace in all seasons, martial arts and martial arts; a vase - peace and happiness. Although the Jingxing latte art we see now has been greatly improved, it was all developed on this basis.

The music of Jingxing Lahua can be called an independent type of music. Women have both the charm of Hebei blowing songs and the color of temple music. Strong but not wild, soft but not arrogant, flashy but not flashy, sad but not weeping, they complement and integrate with the deep, connotative, vigorous and heroic style of latte art dance, leaving an unforgettable beauty to the audience.

In 1957, Jinjing won the second prize in the "Second National Folk Music and Dance Performance" in the mining area of ??Southeast Zhenglahua (Dongnanzheng Village was affiliated to the mining area at that time) and made a speech for the head of the central government. For a special performance, Zhu De, Zhou Enlai and other older generation revolutionaries cordially received the actors. Since then, Jingxing Lahua has won awards in many national competitions and participated in performances at major national events many times.
