Wulin Square eight girls musical fountain
How famous are the eight girls? Probably the "Internet celebrity" of the old foundation, a generation of Hangzhou people's childhood must be photographed. Almost everyone can come up with a, fountain sleeves, was repeatedly emphasized by parents to stand up straight, take a standard photo.
This is Hangzhou's first modern water spray landscape pool. 1984 was built, how to describe it? "Wood old" Hangzhou people flocked to Hangzhou, and even it became a major attraction in Hangzhou. The first photo taken by outsiders after arriving in Hangzhou is not of West Lake, but of this place. In summer, the locals use this place as a good place to cool off, and all the neighbors get together.
Eight girls with different shapes and three girls in the middle dancing with colorful ribbons, so this action was imitated by many people and took pictures together. (Exactly the same as the older women who now take pictures with silk scarves). The other five girls sat or squatted, playing pipa, sheng, guzheng, gurgling and flute.
The eight girls are first and foremost made of white-water clay. After years of exposure to the sun and wind, they gradually began to fade and peel, looking a little pale. The numbers "5" and "3" commemorate the May 3, 1949 liberation of Hangzhou.
In 2008, the Wulin Square subway station began construction, eight girls musical fountain to demolish the news. At once, the citizens of Hangzhou raised their voices from various channels, demanding the preservation of this Hangzhou landmark. Finally, the plan passed the decision to keep the statue.
In 2016, the eight girls returned to their original location, their shape and even their expressions remained unchanged. The material measurements were upgraded from concrete to stainless steel, and finally they were sprayed with fluorocarbon white paint to look exactly like the original. (As a local, I was really impressed)
If you don't want to enjoy the musical fountain at the crowded West Lake, the Eight Girls Fountain at Wulin Square is a good choice. If you don't want to enjoy the musical fountain by the crowded West Lake, the Eight Ladies Fountain in Wulin Square is a good choice.
Hangzhou Zoo
While Hangzhou has had large parks such as Safari Park and Polar Ocean Park, when it comes to taking kids to the zoo, the first reaction of locals is always Hangzhou Zoo.
Hangzhou Zoo still retains a very old-school architectural style and opens its doors at 7 am. That's because it's tucked away on a hill near West Lake, surrounded by layers of green. Here, you can still feel the song of the "gibbon" in the "Apes Can't Cry Across the Taiwan Strait". The main character of the song is always everyone. When it tunes in together, all the other gibbons will be in tune. The melodious cries can be heard throughout the zoo. The gibbons like to cry early in the morning, and many old people come here early for morning exercise. It is a wonderful experience to accompany the gibbons to "open their voices".
The zoo was built in 1958, and this stone map is located at the entrance of the zoo.
Many of the zoo's fixtures and fittings are outdated, and the cramped cages and potholes in the exhibits are a legacy. In addition, the entire zoo was built on a hill, the drop is relatively large, so the zoo uses this inherent advantage to strengthen the upper space advantage, try to give the animals more space for activities. For example, the red panda exhibit built in the arbor forest between the hills, the small-clawed otter exhibit built by using the height difference of the waterfall, and so on. It can show the zoo's intention. This June, a new baby panda was born at the zoo. This June, a new baby panda was born in the zoo. Hangzhou Zoo adult ticket price of 20 yuan
Youth Palace
Youth Palace, let my generation of children really love and hate. In the poor entertainment program of childhood, the Children's Palace is the "small children" the biggest paradise. Bumper cars, Ferris wheels, mini roller coasters, small jumping machines, even now are very interesting. Charge 50 yuan, you can play at least 7-8 items, can be said to be value for money.
Over the years, the facilities of the Children's Palace have become obsolete, but are still an indispensable childhood memory for Hangzhou children. The Ferris wheel, for example, is probably the first Ferris wheel in many people's lives. It costs four dollars to ride one lap, and a pony car just fits a family of three.
The top half is accessible, so it slowly wanders into the sky. I was scared to tears as a kid (I had to cry several times coming to the Children's Palace). As a result, I suddenly saw the West Lake in the distance from the top of the hill. But the only Ferris wheel in Hangzhou where you can see the West Lake! With this, you have to take the kids once more!
Swinging in the air, you can't get tired of playing it as a kid, but now you can't put your adult's big butt on the seat to experience it again! There were always people who cried while playing, and when they came down to relax, they had to "play it again", which made their parents laugh and cry.
The three-sided jumping frog, which looks so miniature now, took a long time to get up there. The rows of cute frog seats, which slowly rise when you sit down but fall with a little jolt, drew screams from the girls.
Yue Wang Road Flower and Bird Market
The Flower and Bird Market was also my favorite place to go when I was a kid. Not only is there a wide variety of plants, insects and birds, it is also the birthplace of Hangzhou antiques. When I was a kid, my grandfather took me to the market every weekend to "store". Hangzhou people probably have a love affair with this place. Until the market was closed due to land acquisition, a large number of antique enthusiasts still gathered here on weekends to exchange ideas. As a result, a number of stores have slowly opened in the neighborhood.
For children living in the city, the flower and bird market is the most natural classroom. Here, they get to know insect repellent grass, water lilies, various succulents and so on. When they meet better merchants, they carefully teach the children how to take care of these plants.
There were cats and dogs in the market in those days, and it was even harder for the children to part with each other. Later, probably because of safety factors, slightly larger animals like cats and dogs could not be sold at the market. So hamsters and rabbits became "internet celebrities".
Now there are large flower and bird markets in Hangzhou, east and west, north and south, and there are more choices for children to play with, which is much more convenient than when we were young.
Huajiachi
Living in the eastern part of the city, it was not possible to go to West Lake every day when I was a kid, so the most common place to go was the Huajiachi campus of Zhejiang University (also known as Nongdaeng University at the time). The "pool", in fact, according to the area can be completely comparable to the lake.
Summer is also full of lotus leaves, east of the city is known as the small West Lake. This stone bridge crosses the river. Creepers high and low occupy the corridor bridge, drooping stone chairs. Together with the colors of the wisteria, all of which are reflected in the lake, it is the most beautiful scenery of Huajiachi. With the Little West Lake, this corridor is naturally called "Little Su Causeway".
There is also "China's First Botanical Garden", which was built in 1927 and established in Huajiachi in 1933. It contains specimens of various plants. The gate looks very old, this botanical garden is probably the most representative of the "Agricultural University" point of call.
Because of land auctions, a large portion of the Huajiachi campus has been converted to commercial use, and the original experimental fields and greenhouses were left in the botanical gardens for student experiments. Unfortunately, they are now demolished.
Now, these things are gone, and most of the students have moved to the Zijingang campus for classes. When you look at Huajiachi now, it's quieter, like an old man in his old age.
There is also a lake pavilion in the center of Huajiachi, where students read in the morning and old people exercise in the evening, which is very harmonious.
Huajiachi's architecture is also very unique, the most famous is the "second floor". There are 8 independent villas on the second floor, each with 4 families, built with reference to the Soviet-style villas. With a history of more than 60 years, it belongs to Hangzhou's cultural relics. Who is qualified to live? Of course it is the old professors who have dedicated their lives to scientific research! For example, Zhu Zuxiang, who lives in Room 403 of Building 4, is a famous silkworm expert in China. He is the president of Zhejiang Agricultural University and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Chen
